Fun atmosphere with outlets and great work space if you can find a seat. Great coffee and espresso- snooty baristas to match, but it's worth it for the latte art. Come early and find a place to work or stop by for a latte on the go. Excellent coffee.

Fantastic coffee store. Great space to hang out and work. Friendly staff. Coffee is clearly the priority, and it shows.

If there are any criticisms, it is that the bags of coffee beans are on the pricey side, and can be purchased for less elsewhere (though those beans will be older since roasted).

Top-notch place. Especially enjoyed the partnership they had running with an overnight oats startup, during which they offered promotional free samples with each order (Mush is the name of the company). Great service & coffee

Thet have amazing coffee, milkshakes, and treats for all kinds! They are also environmentally conscious, which is always a plus! Great staff and seating room provides a nice chic coffee spot for year round coffee drinking.

Oat Milk Latte Leaves Bitter Taste in Mouth

I Have been a customer of Intelligentsia Coffee for years, but no longer. This morning I went in for a latte and witnessed a cowardly and cold hearted treatment of a patron who was homeless.

As I waited for my latte I saw the manager on duty, a young man with brown hair and beard tell a patron he had to leave because he had fallen asleep. The patron, also young, and possibly homeless wasn't bothering anyone. He was guilty of the egregious sin of being exhausted and down on his luck.

I collected my bag and left, without my latte. I will never spend money in this café again.

This place has always had a hipster vibe to it, but the treatment of that poor man was exactly what plagues our modern culture. Today Intelligentsia made homelessness more invisible and showed zero compassion for a member of our community who was suffering.

They can keep their hipster values and their over priced coffee. I recommend others join me in boycotting this company.

Exceptional Chicago coffee place. I initially thought their coffee was a bit overrated (they're pretty hyped up around these parts) but after going to their actual Broadway location a few times (rather than having it at places that just brew their coffee) I understood what all the fuss was about. One of the best cappuccinos I've ever had.

The staff is comprised of the coffee snob type but what are you gonna do. Had to be expected.

So good I can't order a latte anywhere else in the country (except for 9th Street) without remembering the best ones are here so sometimes I don't bother. The space is great but I liked it better a couple versions before. The people there - well, they set a high bar no doubt - outstanding.

The Intelligentsia staff is both friendly and polite – especially on busy days – and the environment is perfects for a few hours of reading or working on a laptop (free wi-fi).

The lighting is softer in the back, so if you have problems reading or working in low light, the front windows offer great natural lighting. Additionally, if you’re looking to snag a spot for a few hours, tables turn over pretty quickly but there’s a definite mid-afternoon lull around 3-4pm on the weekends.

The coffee is somewhat expensive ($3.25+ for a cup of brewed coffee) but for people enjoying their coffee in the shop, it comes out or about 2 full cups of coffee. The coffee quality is great and they normally offer varying levels of intensity and flavor profiles.

The food is primarily snacks – cookies, cakes, etc. – and I can’t speak to the taste or freshness, but it always looks good.

A perfectly decent spot for coffee, though the blend I had tasted a bit too burned for my preferences. However, the shop itself is very nice and more spacious than expected, and the service was great as well.

The espresso was delicious, overall had a great experience here. The staff was friendly, the coffee was strong, and everything was very well made. The store atmomsphere was very friendly and is definitely one of the best coffeeshops i have been to.
