One of my favorite roasters around. Fantastic coffees and espresso based drinks. Clean and overall friendly staff even though I am not a hipster or local they didn't treat me bad or anything. Coffee is some of the best of the best.

The coffee's pretty good, and the service is fine, there are a bunch of long tables you can sit at undisturbed, which is good.

However... This isn't the cozy, funky, and cheerful Intelligentsia of old... The atmosphere is a bit cold and grim, if functional. I don't mind it, but .... it's not someplace I look forward to going like I used to.

According to people who are much more familiar with Intelligentsia than I, this sort of complete remodel is just something they do occasionally (and isn't connected with the Peet's takeover), so maybe it will change again in the future... I kinda hope so....

They don't offer refills AT ALL. Not even at a discounted rate. If you buy a black tea, there is no tea bag, so you can't just get more hot water. All drinks are higher priced than most other coffee shops. Breakfast sandwiches are between $6-$8. Don't waste your money.

Their coffee never ceases to fail! Always very pleasant to the tongue and gives you that happy boost everyone needs in the mornings! With a cup of Intelligentsia coffee, I am READY to start my day in full swing. The ambience is also very nice.

Prices a bit high.
Space is comfy, though furniture stiff and uninviting.
Staff is nice, but NOT overly so.

The coffee here is the best. The service takes just as long as it should for a delicious, beautifully-crafted cup of espresso.

Since the redesign, I appreciate the expanded seating.

This is the perfect place to come on a date, or alone to get some writing done.

I am lucky enough to have an Intelligentsia Coffee close to the office so I get the pleasure of having a cup or two of the excellent coffee brewed here daily. The experience of the European Coffee shop comes to life with Intelligentsia, every cup is poured to perfection. The only downside is that it is typically packed after lunch so there may be a wait. Regardless it is worth the wait.

The coffee here is very good, very nuanced and interesting flavors. However, I always feel overwhelmed here. The crowd feels cooler than I am, the baristas are more attractive than I am, and their coffee geekery knowledge kind of frightens me.

This is probably more a review about me than about this place, but it's not a place I'm comfortable sitting and having a cup of coffee...
