The place is kinda overrated and expensive for what the museum has to see. The entrance fee is $6 per person and AAA members get a 50 cent discount per ticket. The museum has barely three 20x20 rooms filled with farming tools. There is also a small eatery attached to it and they serve everything potato. We had fresh fries which were good and baked potato with vegan chilli. The baked potato was okay and lacked taste. We had read some reviews that they had potato ice cream and were up for trying it, but they unfortunately did not have it.

Pretty neat. Really small but has some cool stuff. And..gotta get your photo with the giant baked potato 🥔! We got there late so the attendant let us go free!!! At least a one time stop. We will go back to take our time and read more.

Very informative about the history of potatoes in the Americas and more specifically about the area. Great photo opportunity with the giant potato outside and has a stand to put your own phone in for selfies. Small museum but good information and felt like it was worth it.

This museum was interesting. I actually learned quite a bit about potatoes and potato production. There is a little lunchroom in the museum that serves several styles of potatoes, and the potatoes are really good. As an out-of-stater, I also received a free package of Hungry Jack instant potatoes.

Great place to learn about potatoes as well as eat them! Friendly lady in the gift shop, recommend stopping here for sure.

Idaho is famous for potatoes. This museum does a great job of presenting the origin of the potato in South America and its distribution throughout the world. There are fascinating displays of the cultivation and harvesting of this important food crop. It's a fun visit.

If you’re visiting Southeast, Idaho, this place is an absolute must. It’s an extremely well done, museum, chronicling the potato and its history and importance to the state. The staff is friendly, they have a lovely gift store and you can even get a free tater if you’re an out of stater! I visited during the week, and there was only one other group of people there. This was great, because I had time to read all of the exhibits and enjoy what they had to offer.

Kitschy museum about the history of Burbank Russet potatoes coming to the us and in Idaho and collections of s/p shakers, potato dishes and mashers. A kids space with Mr. Potato Head and hands on science area. Small gift shop. What one would expect from a small town museum. Cafe is mediocre.

The outside photo opp of a potato is fun. But the inside REEKS! We went in to get info and decided right away not to go to the museum. It smells like rancid oil and even being in there 2 minutes the stench stuck to us. Can't imagine spending a long time in there. What a shame... because I bet the place is cool. But they need to clean it & air it out 1st

A fun place to visit if you're passing through Blackfoot! Admission is $6 for adults, and there's a small cafe where you can get a baked potato with various toppings.
