Lappert's Hawaii

We’ve been on Kauai for a week, and finally found not only a drinkable but actually great coffee:-) Smooth, creamy, well balanced acidity, everything.
This is actually an ice cream place: it is very good too.
Con: no cozy seating, mostly a take-away counter.
Prices are just regular expensive.

Laperts is a must try while on Kauai (my favorite is the Kauai Pie flavor). The portions were very generous compaired to the Laperts location in Princeville)

The ice cream is very good, the staff is very nice and friendly. The employees are always smiling and very helpful. I visited this place during the evening hours and it always had a crowd waiting to order, but nothing that caused a long wait.

Amazing ice cream and amazing staff. Always busy. Please be patient and respectful. The wait is totally worth it!

Super courteous staff here. They let us sample at least 4 ice creams before getting a double scoop. We tried a few of the local flavors in a cup. Also got an iced coffee. The iced coffee is good - comparable to other local coffee shops, but nothing extraordinary.

The ice cream scoops were good. There were big chunks of oreo and nuts inside. Reasonable price at $6. Would visit again for ice cream as it's a local business!

Some of their frozen treat flavors will knock your socks off with the intensity of their flavors, especially the fruit sorbets. If you want something smooth and mellow, go with an ice cream. There are many unique flavor options. Prices vary for baked goods and drinks, so it's a mixed bag, but fairly decent overall.

One downside is the diminutive size of the café, so with how busy this place often is, you will likely need to sit outside or somewhere else entirely.

So. Good. Seriously one of the best cinnamon buns I've ever had - great for breakfast. Not too heavy.

Also got the PB cookie and chocolate chip macadamia nut. Didn't eat them til the next day and were honestly just as fresh tasting as when I got them. I was actually surprised!

Chocolate ganache gelato, caramel macadamia nut icecream and a macadamia nut sticky bun. Delicious. Just right. Not too over the top rich. Yum!

Not sure about the hype but you could could get decent ice cream, coffee and/ or cookies here.

My three loving kids attempted to get ice cream from this place. a security guard suddenly cut them off, being the last ones in line, and told them that the place was closed early. Now, here’s where it gets a lil sticky, the place normally closes at 9 but due to covid and stuff, it now closes at 7pm even though web site said 9pm. i approached the security guard and we had a formal conversation about the issue. He said the kids can’t get ice cream without any sort of explanation?
