Best authentic coffee house feeling in Kauai. They take great care in each shot by weighing the grinds and timing their shots. They also roast their beans in house. The inside has a lot of space for seating and for anyone looking for a quiet place to enjoy their drink while working. This is a cafe for coffee lovers who enjoy a carefully crafted cup of coffee, not for someone looking for unique or sweet drink. Very impressed.

Dark Horse Coffee is a great coffee shop with beans roasted in-house. The space was beautiful with local art on the walls and lots of tables to enjoy. My family and I took our coffee to go and enjoyed it at Shipwreck beach, which was incredible!
Our favorite coffee was the cold brew with haupia cold foam- so Ono!

Wonderful coffee shop experience in peaceful Koloa. What to say: huge windows, bright natural light, calm ocean breezes coming through artistic slat windows; there is even a small, yet refreshingly pleasant art gallery. All these features are accentuated by the aroma of a rather wide selection of ground coffees and the attentive staff of baristas who prepare the drinks. It is a great atmosphere to relax and recuperate or even perhaps study while partaking of some the delicious assortment of light and simple food items offered (see attached pictures of the current menu offerings). They even have free Wi-Fi, just ask the barista for the current password. By far the best coffee shop experience on the Southern half of the island, a must see!

Best coffee on the Island! Tried a bunch of coffee shops on all sides of the island and this one comes on top! Roast their own beans and use good technique along with top ingredients. Keep it up!

Look no further, you have found THE best coffee shop on the island. We drove over an hour for multiple days during our stay just to come back here because other coffee shops didn't even compare. The oat milk salted maple latte was our absolute favorite- I will genuinely miss getting coffee here after we leave.

My favorite coffee shop on Kauai! I came to the island wanting to try a different coffee shop every morning, but after trying to Dark Horse I couldn’t stop coming back for more! I tried the Champ and the salted maple and both were delicious! The quality of their coffee is high, and they don’t use Torani syrups like a couple of the other local shops I tried. Their baristas are very friendly and their space is so cute and convenient :)

I picked this shop out of a hat one morning to get coffee and a light breakfast. It was spacious, quiet, had plenty of cool air inside, and had outdoor seating too. They have a few pastries and breakfast sandwich options to choose from. My cappucinno with coconut milk was pretty solid and strong (they default to double shots with everything). The veggie bagel was a little less exciting. The bagel itself was soft and really good, but the toppings didn't stand out or add to it. I'd come back for another drink and to relax for a little bit on a hot day.

Couldn't believe my favorite coffee shop in Truckee had an outpost in Koloa. Awesome space showcasing local artists, with the same kickass dark horse coffee (and branding). Wishing them the best!
Embarrassed to say I've been here twice in a day....

Great atmosphere for coffee, tea, pastry, and other small gifts. Highly recommended if you’re in the Koloa area!
