Probably the best Coffee I've ever had. Ordered The Champ which has cinnamon in it and there was a party in my mouth. The building itself is on a whole other level. The architecture and design is impressive and very modern.

Yummy !! I ordered green tea with oat creme and a veggie bagel and my gf got a bagel and cream cheese and a slow drip coffee . Soooo happy with my meal coming back next year

Fantastic coffee and friendly people. The coffee here is probably one of the best I’ve tasted so far on the island. Plus the place is really cool - inside a former Japanese community center where immigrant workers for the sugar factory gathered in earlier times.
Also the veggie bagels were really tasty and special.

I wanted to try a local place before a snorkel tour in Koloa. I went in they were kind of busy and ordered a cold coffee I got right away and simply a bagel and cream cheese. After almost twenty minutes of waiting I asked about my order again and they said they were “working on it still” I said I would just like a refund. Both girls working there gave me attitude saying they were “busy”. I’ve worked in customer service and know busy which this was not. I’ve also worked good service and they need training on one proper attire working in a kitchen and when it’s appropriate to wear gloves. Don’t put on gloves open a fridge you just opened without gloves and continue to work with those same gloves to place food on a tray. Also crocs with holes in them don’t meet standard for foot wear. Customer service was poor. Good luck to anyone who wants to try local

Great coffee, great pastries and an awesome environment. Dark horse is one of me and my wife's all time favorite coffee shops. We often find ourselves stopping for a coffee and a bite to eat and spending far too long talking to the awesome baristas. Would recommend trying if you're in the area!

Enjoyed the space and the drip coffee. Love seeing a coffee roaster in the corner and they were happy to talk "coffee nerd" stuff with me. Parking was a bit tricky.

Best coffee we have had in our 3 weeks in Hawaii. And to be honest, probably up there with the best coffee we have had in the US in general! I'm talking about espresso coffees of course!

Really enjoyed this place / didn't expect to find such a great coffee place here! Would go here over places near home (in Seattle). Really great stuff.

Simple espresso review with customer service
The good:
-this is still 4x better than Starbucks
-the lady working the cash register acknowledged me by name and took time to be engage even when busy.
Cringe:
-Barista used a cold cup(drank in a porcelain espresso cup) - frustrating when I asked for it to sit and enjoy it hot. I'm now sipping on it lukewarm
-poured it in instead of just having the machine pour it right into my cup - this making it slightly colder again.
When paying for exactly 2 ounces of liquid gold, there's a few things that should be done right and DH has done half of them really well, but these last few touches almost negated the rest.
Again. This spot is still 4x better than Starbucks or any other generic spot. They make some bomb drinks and I'll be back, but a little upping of their game is needed.

Honestly, the haupia foam cold brew is the best cold brew I have ever tasted. Did we go everyday we were in Poipu? Absolutely. Friendly staff, tasty coffee/food, and good vibes. 100% recommend.
