Favorite breads are the sourdoughs. But all of them are wonderful. You can’t have bread sliced if loaves are still hot from the oven. Oh well, just have to hack off chunks and slather them with butter. I can live with it
Lovely pastries and sandwiches. I haven’t begun to try them all.

It was 4pm when I arrived to the bakery to check out their goods. I ordered the Lilikoi and cheese danish. This danish was still warm and flaky. It was delightful in flavor and tasted like Hawaii! This place has balanced and flavorful cold brew that has been steeped over 12 hours.
They have an open bakery concept so you can see what’s bakin. It’s a cute atmosphere and friendly staff.
If you’re within 2 hours of this bakery it’s a MUST eat!

Went here during the Hanapepe Friday night art walk. Place was busy. Service was kind and quick. My wife and I finally decided on one of their pizza choices; which we were pleased with. Many other options in their bakery will have to wait for a return trip.

We discovered this little gem at the Hanapepe Friday night market. They have amazing pizzas on sourdough crust. We tried the macadamia nut pesto and the truffle cheese pizzas.
We took home a papaya cream cheese danish for breakfast.
Wednesday we returned with the rest of our family and everyone loved their lunch. Our group tried both caprese and prosciutto paninis and ham & cheese croissants. The bread was so delicious we bought a loaf to enjoy the rest of our stay.
I highly recommend this place - but check their daily hours to be sure you don’t miss them

Best bakery on Kauai if not Hawaii. Organic ingredients, wonderful breads and pastries, creative and tasty sandwich options. What a treat!

Excellent bakery! Coffee and Cinnamon rolls! Lots of fresh baked bread. Wonderful, original sandwiches. Great sweet rolls and tarts. Couple tables inside....but no ac. Cold brewed coffee available.

Even though I only had a chocolate croissant, it was fabulously. If I was staying for a couple more days I would have bought some breads. They looked incredible. Small town bakery that surely needs everyone's support. Beautiful drive and quant small artist town. Don't forget to walk across the street and walk across the swinging bridge.

The only bread we buy is at Midnight Bear. We love the multi-grain loaf. It's the perfect bread for us. It's delicious and healthy. Tastes extra amazing when it's toasted. We like it with eggs in the morning, toasted for sandwiches and as an occasional very special french toast. The chocolate croissants (Pain Au Chocolat) are flaky, delicious and authentic. I believe the owner was trained in France. We drive from Lihue a couple of times a month to pick up our bread and stay to either have a pastry or a sandwich. There are always new things to try and sometimes they sell out, so we usually call ahead to make sure they hold our multi-grain loaves. We especially like coming on Fridays and staying for the Hanapepe Friday Night Art Walk!

Really good quality pastries and bread.
For a bakery that makes their own bread the paninis are 3 stars. Really just grilled cheese sandwiches. The prosciutto panini was more of a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. Seems to be getting more expensive every time we go(6th visit in 2 years).Their ciabatta is really good.
