Midnight Bear Breads

Fantastic pastries and breads! I had the Meyer lemon danish and almond croissant with marscapon paste. Incredible. Perfectly baked, light and airy interior and just a slight crunch on the outside. Wonderful! They have so much more.

I’ve been here a few times now. The pastries and food is delicious when available. However the customer service has always been dismal. The young girl taking our order was nice, but the general vibe of the staff lacks warmth and interest in helping customers. For example this last time I asked two employees which coffee they served for their drip and neither knew or bothered to found out….just awkward silence. It’s also a long wait time in line - so that part of the system is slow. But our sandwich came out timely. Pretty bummed on this place since I live close by and I enjoy Outpost coffee which they use for their espresso. But, don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

Definitely need the arrive early, we got there around noon and most pastries were gone. Managed to pick up an ube turnover and coffee to go, both were delicious!

Amazing pastries and treats to reward adventurous travellers.

This was an amazing find. We didn't expect to go here as we only wanted to stop by to see Lilo and Stitch stuff. Oh boy, were we rewarded.

We tried the Nutella Cruffin and Lilokai Danish. Wowza! Amazing stuff.

Great bakery, one of the best in Hawaii we've been to. We tried the seeded sesame bread, croissants (almond, ham and cheese, and chocolate). Get there early because they do sell out. Was told that if you call them they can set some things aside. They have pizza on fridays but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to try.. next time!!

Midnight Bear Bread is the best bakery on the island in my opinion. They make delicious sweet and savory breads, buns, croissants and pizza. You can even find them at the Sat morning Farmers Market in Kilauea. They also have great coffee.

Best bakery in Kauai! Found this place by chance while visiting Hanapepe. Midnight Bear Breads Bakery makes very delicious Danish pastries and artisan breads. Their danishes have a tropical twist: lilikoi (passion fruit), guava, and papaya fillings. Their Lilikoi Cream Cheese Danish is to die for. It’s worth the drive from the other side of island if you are missing a great tasting, buttery, flakey danish.

Midnight Bear Breads Bakery does sell at the local farmers markets if you cannot drive to Hanapepe, in particular the Saturday Kauai Community Market at the Kauai Community College Parking Lot In Puhi. The farmer markets prices are the same as the bakeries.

Bakery’s restrooms are unisex and are old (sensitive plumbing). No diaper changing table. But the bakery does have high chairs.

Simply got a delicious cup of Cold Brew coffee! Delicious and great service. The pastries looked so yummy! And the lunch menu too. Great service!

Their pastries run out fast! Go early if you want more selections.

Perfect spot to grab a sandwich and take it to the bridge and channel or enjoy the old town charm and sit outside. Sandwich was absolutely delicious!
