Excellent Organic Sourdough breads. We especially like the multi grain and the rye. Their croissants are to die for (butter and chocolate). They make their pastries first and then their breads, so when we went at 7:30am, the bread was not done yet, but when we went at 3pm, the breads were sold out! So, I would recommend going around noon for bread. They seem to have pastries all day. Really outstanding work by this little local place.

The most delicious pastry was the Nutella caramel croissant they make in house. They also have a vanilla raspberry I stopped myself from getting as well but also looked amazing. Crispy and delicious outside and moist buttery bread on the inside. My husband had a local coffee which was also great.

Best bread on the island and they have creative pastries to boot! Who can resist a Nutella cruffin? Then you have an everything danish which is delightful.

Absolutely amazing! Exactly what croissants and pastries should be. My advice is to get there when they open for breakfast and go back for lunch.

Simply - the greatest bakery/cafe in the world! I've traveled - a lot. I followed the Paris Croissant map and tried most of them. I found one in Paris that was on the same level as Midnight Bear. This place is the real deal. An incredible find! People of Kauai are so lucky to have this gorgeous bakery/cafe right in their Island. Lavender/Lemon, Cinnamon/Ginger, savory, sweet, sandwiches of unbelievable quality (my friend got salmon and looked outstanding). We visited Kauai and stayed in Lihue but drove to the wonderful town of Hanapepe three times to experience many of the great breads and pastries on the menu. I would visit Kauai again for a few reasons. Larsen's Beach. Napali Coast. Waiimea Canyon. Hanalei Bay and Midnight Bear. Not necessarily in that order! Truly one of the wonders of the world! It's a magical place. Thank you!!! You're doing everything right!

We had their sandwiches for late lunch here. Simple and healthy food was exactly what we wanted. Staff was really friendly. Will come back early for their bread next time!
