Amazing croissants! We had the plain and chocolate and they were both sooo good!

Very fresh breads and sandwiches! Refreshing to eat here after indulging in the Hawaiian food culture. Lol.

An awesome bakery. Very good bread and amazing pastries. Very French with an island twist. The ginger breakfast buns are something you dream about. Well worth the drive if you are anywhere in the south or west of Kauai. You can place orders online the day before. Be aware that they have very limited supplies on Saturdays because they are also at the Lihue Farmer's Market then.

Stopped here for lunch after reading other great reviews. It was amazing. A little bit smaller portions, but absolutely delicious. I got the caprese sandwich, hot. It was great. My mom got the caprese sandwich cold- I think she died and went to heaven, it's all she talks about!

We preordered our breakfast online the night before, and someone from Midnight Bear called me in the morning asking me when we would be there to pickup. This was to ensure that they time the preparation of our food so that it's warm and fresh when we arrive.
We decided to sit inside and eat when we got there, and the staff was very warm and inviting.
My wife and daughter absolutely loved their rosemary baguette and chocolate croissant. I had their egg and cheese croissant, which was amazing. This will be a regular place for us the next time we are in Kauai.

Came across this place on a whim heading out to Waimea Canyon and it was incredible. Every pastry in the case looked divine. We chose the turkey sandwich and the ham panini and they were so so good. Even left with a loaf of sourdough for the rest of our trip. Would 100% recommend!

tiny “sandwiches” make me feel cheated and taken advantage of. all out of baked goods.

Fabulous pastries, great espresso, awesome service. The tourist rush is way back on in Kauai, every place you go that serves coffee or breakfast of any kind is totally swamped. Three staff at Midnight Bear are keeping up with way increased demand, minimizing the wait, keeping everything delicious and doing it all with sweetness. Come here for legit pastry and bomb sandwiches and tip these folks well please.
