This old location has been rejuvenated with fresh flavors! New chef, new menu! Boasts a classic coffee bar for all your caffeine needs 7 days a week. As well as inventive & delicious entrees.

Delicious food & lovely people! We came here 3 times over the span of one week. The food is to die for and the owners are just lovely. Make sure to make a stop at the wake up cafe!

Oh my, a must stop in Hanalei. You’ll have to catch a menu on your way in as they’re thrown at you, but once you do, you’re on your way to a memorable feast. I got the sausage, eggs, and hash browns. Broken down into bites, the meal was a very reasonable $10 per bite. Eggs were just the way I like them...sunny side up and ice cold. Hash browns came in as hot as the coffee, a perfect room temperature. Don’t forget the sausage...which evoked nostalgia of finding week old keilbasa in the back corner of your fridge and throwing that puppy in the microwave for 30 seconds or so...just enough heat to make me realize that at least some effort went into hiding the fact that this may or may not have been scraped off another patron’s plate and onto mine. The cherry on top for this place was really the atmosphere though. The way the owner rushes you out the door fits so well with an island vacation. I’m not sure, but I’m fairly certain this restaurant won the James Beard award in 2013 for best original adaptation of day old eggs. Impressive. If you’re not hungry, at least get the $4 drip coffee. The $2 water is actually the same thing, just has a different name on the menu (local tip!). The kids loved that the owner had a cigarette in one hand and our plates in the other! Trail is spice is what we like to call it! Mahalo, we’ll be back again soon and will plan our itinerary around this gem.

We walked in at 10:45 in the morning and were told by the owner that they close in 15 minutes and if only breakfast was okay. We said it was and asked if it was okay to stay or come back another time. We were politely told to stay and that it was more than okay to order. She should have told us to leave. We ordered the breakfast quesadilla with hash browns. What we got was a scramble stuffed inside of a cold tortilla that wasn't cooked (and thereby not a quesadilla) and hash browns that were burnt and black. I would guess it was what was burned to the pan and served to us. We felt as though we were being punished and given scraps. After all that, we put a larger bill down to pay the bill and the waitress asked us if we wanted change back, which would have been a 33% tip (note: we did tip, just not at that rate, despite being served terrible food).

I ordered an omelet and It tasted like cleaning supplies, wasted $20 on food I couldn’t even eat. I am sick as can be with food poisoning. The hash browns were not fresh and weren’t even reheated. Served ice cold. The water cups were dirty as hell, good thing we brought our own bottle of water. 🤮

Food was delicously prepared. Three Ham and cheese omelettes with hashbrowns and 2 sides of bacon are what we ordered. Along with an order of pancakes to share. Everything was very tasty. Coffee was good too. Service was quick and friendly. We will definitely be back again for breakfast. Two thumbs up!!

DO NOT EAT HERE!! This place was the absolute worst experience ever and was the only bad moment I had in Kauai. The food was absolutely awful- but nothing compared to the garbage service. They wouldn’t refill my orange juice ($4.00 refill) and when I asked why she said “a gallon of milk cost $9 dollars here.” Which made no sense. Absolutely disgusting food with gross people.
No Aloha spirit here. Stay far away from this over priced dump, there are plenty of great choices not far.

Worst breakfast I've ever had. Seriously. Hash browns tasted four days old. Tortilla tasted like they took it out of the bag and served it. $38 for two breakfast entrees, two coffee's, and a papaya juice. We just had to laugh at how bad it was. At least the coffee was decent.

FYI: this is the coffee bar for the newly owned Wake Up Hanalei coffee bar and Trucking Delicious restaurant (no longer a food truck). Kinda confusing based on search results and location. I got a cappuccino and it was just average-nothing too special.
