The French Café - Hamlin

What a shame,..I wanted to like this cute cafe but even the second time was disappointing! Every pastry we had was disgusting and not enjoyable. Customer service is pretty bad too.

The food has always been spot on. The staff always friendly and gracious. The owner is personable and approachable. A special shoutout to Adam who never disappoints. Tom & Marie.

Great little place for breakfast. The food was good service was ok. Our food took a bit too long to come out. Other than that a solid place to try.

Loved the Nutella Beignet and Spinach Quiche! The place itself was super clean and beautiful with a nice view and the staff were extremely nice and helpful in explaining the menu. The Quiche felt like it was melting in my mouth and so did the beignet! Can't wait to visit again!

Very good, they are currently doing a soft opening so the menu was limited.

Nice selection of tea, and the Nutella pastry was great.

Plenty of porch seating as well when weather is nice.

Inside it's very Paris, french music over the speakers. There's also a really cool LED light wall with Paris at night with animated fireworks and shooting stars.

Service was warm and friendly, and also quick and accurate.

The food and coffee is decent, however management needs to figure our how to serve already made pastries to customers at a faster rate. I waited 20 minutes for pastries with 4 employees behind the counter!! Everyone does everything, but no one manages the pastry bar. The manager looked a mess. Please get it together! The picture I attached is what the counter looked like while I waited 20 minutes for 3 pastries!?! As you can see there were No employees present. They were all trying to figure out what they were supposed to do by huddling around the cashier. I was the only one waiting. SMH!!

My wife and I come here to eat once a week, nearly every week. The quality and kindness of the employees here has kept us coming back. I work in a restaurant myself, and I've enjoyed everything I've gotten here, each time.

Service is usually very quick (sometimes it's a bit slower, but that's just what happens on busy days at ANY restaurant), and if you place an online order for pickup, 99% of the time it's finished well before the expected 30m time.

If you are craving a fresh baked pastry this is the place along with many other desserts, and brunch selections. Three of us went and had breakfast : alpine crepe, quich Lorraine, and a breakfast platter along with mocha lattes and espresso. All the breakfasts were excellent. To go, we got the chocolate croissant, guava cheese pastry 👍, tiramisu, and a chocolate eclair. The desserts were delicious. The service was great. This is our new favorite spot. 👍👍

The food was wonderful as always. I really like the environment and the way I am treated. Congratulations guys, great job.

Come early in the day for the best selection of sweet treats to pair with your vast choice of caffeine.

They had lines out the door for their soft open, but the team of young ladies behind the counter were quick and capable. Leaving the small congregation of fellow new customers around me, unified in our pleasure at being the first to discover this neighborhood gem.

If you have a little more time consider letting Chef François whip up a lovely looking french breakfast. I saw a few things that I’ll be trying in the weeks to come.

They have limited indoor seating and a nice outdoor patio area with a bit more elbow room just like a café in Paris would. Parking is easy for now, but as the empty storefronts in this new plaza fill out that may be problematic in the afternoons. Just one more reason to try and get there early.

I stopped by in the evening to snap some pics after the crush of caffeine & carb cravers from the morning had died off.
