Just left the French Café in Hamlin and had the worst experience. Ordered Crème Brule and Croissant. The Crème Brule came after I finished my Croissant and only after I asked for it again and it tasted like syrup. I ordered brown sugar and white was added to it, when they caught the mistake the rep proceeded to add brown sugar on top of the white sugar. He was nice but had no mask on and was talking all over my beverage. I will never go back to this place. No I'm not bougie, but in the times we live in, more care should be taken with our foods especially if you're still open and provide this service.

I visited about 30 to 45 minutes before close and they were very friendly. They brought our food to us outside but a storm blew in and it began pouring rain. We felt guilty about going back inside because it was so close to their closing time... but they came out and invited us back in! The crepe I tried wasnt my favorite, but I will be willing to go back in the future and try more of their menu. Adorable, clean location with cute outdoor seating as well!

The French Cafe was disappointingly good. I'll explain. This was our first visit in over a year (thanks Covid!), and all of our previous visits would merit 5 stars. Our usual orders are a Quiche Lorraine, and a Breakfast Croissant with spinach, bacon and cheddar. For sides we get breakfast potatoes on one, and salad (dressing on the side) on the other. Everything was good, with the Quiche bordering on the usual 5 star quality. The Croissant however was sadly lacking. First, the croissant itself was simply substandard, nowhere near what we remember from past visits. Was it just stale? Did they change the recipe or take a shortcut on the technique? Can't say, but the result disappointed. As for the omelet portion of the Breakfast Croissant, to our taste buds the spinach overwhelmed the bacon and cheddar, versus the perfect marriage of the 3 ingredients that we remember. I will add that our dining companion ordered the Breakfast Crepe and loved it! We didn't order any pastries, as they have apparently discontinued our favorite, the Swiss, which surprised us as it always seemed to be very popular (but what do we know). So, I still highly recommend this place, but sincerely hope our next experience will meet the high standards we hold them to. And maybe we'll try to find a new favorite pastry if the Swiss is still missing. We noted they have expanded their indoor seating since our last visit, so tables were easier to come by than we had experienced there before. And for those who prefer al fresco dining, there are several tables outside in a pleasant enough courtyard.

Absolutely delicious! Our experience at the French cafe was fanatastic. The staff, atmosphere, food, cleanliness, everything was great. We had the lemon tart, which my son couldn’t get enough of! It was fabulous. We also had a latte, the Parisian baguette sandwich, and French onion soup - all so so good! Can’t wait to be back!

Food and service is excellent. The French Onion soup is the best. Staff is always friendly and atmosphere is what you would want from a French Cafe.

The French Cafe took me back to my honeymoon in Paris. The pastries were yummy, the coffee was the perfect amount of strong, and the baguette sandwich was to die for. The owner and staff were very nice and friendly. 10/10 would recommend!

Food and coffee taste great. Avoid when busy because the guy making the coffee takes like 10 minutes per drink.
The manager lady scolding employees makes customers feel awkward. Talking to them in private would be better.

I am so glad this place is now open! There are so many exquisite selections for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or any time in between. Magnificent presentation. We dove right in to eat because we were super hungry and the selections on the window where eye candy. So there is no photographic proof at this time. We had a quiché which was perfectly balanced and consistency was light and fluffy. We also had the Veggie omelet which was packed with flavorful loads of veggies, super tasty. You have to get the fresh squeezed orange juice. So delicious! Oh and the Almond croissant is to die for! You could also order and pick up. A definite memorable French experience!

Great service! The chocolate croissant is so good and the egg ham and cheese croissant I really liked it 👍👍👍
