We have been coming here since they opened and unfortunately this will be our last. The prices are all increased, which is understandable in the economy today, but I still expect the quality to stay the same. I get the chicken salad croissant every time. And now, it's about a third of the size with barely any chicken salad on it. I loved the big round croissant with piles of chicken salad that I would have leftovers with. The side salad is just a handful of greens with some onions and tomatoes thrown on it. It's super disappointing as this is one of the only breakfast places around.

Dining at the French Café in Hamlin was super easy and a delight. It was my first time, so I allowed them to offer me some suggestions and I was not disappointed.
For drink, I got the crème brûlée latte, which was better than expected. I’ve gotten plenty of “specialty drinks” from other locations and am often disappointed because they don’t really taste like what they advertise it as. This latte, however, was deliciously sweet as you’d expect from a crème brûlée. The sugar on top was even crunchy and broke with the tap of my spoon!
As for food, they suggested the croissant breakfast sandwich which allows you to choose a protein and your cheese. I went with bacon and swiss. You do also get the choice of breakfast potatoes, fries, or something else…I honestly blanked after hearing breakfast potatoes because I LOVE breakfast potatoes and knew I wanted them.
The potatoes were seasoned really well and cooked perfectly. I love some bits to have a little extra crunch (but not burnt) and these were delightful and not greasy. The sandwich was also delicious and I love how they practically just make an omelet for you and then place it inside of a croissant.
Overall, I wasn’t truly expecting this place to be anything memorable. A place that calls itself the “French Café” comes off as a bit cliché, especially for someone who has lived in a French country. And I do have to say that this is probably not something true French people would eat haha - at least not what I got. However, they do have plenty of other drink options as well as pastries, which is something I am looking forward to going back to try.
***the total for my drink and sandwich was $20

The French Cafe has the best pastries and beignets. I love stopping by and getting an Americano and a sweet treat.
This time we ordered a breakfast croissant, breakfast crepe, danishes & beignets. The 2 entrees were served with breakfast potatoes and they were delicious.
Because of the amount of meat in the crepe, it was a bit salty for my tastes so I’ll stick with the pastries from now on. Their beignets are perfect for anytime I get a sweet craving and are a great addition to a cup of coffee.

The strawberry cheesecake, macaroons, and Snow White mocha espresso are absolutely to die for. The servers are are the friendliest, polite people in the world. The experience was one in a million for me. I am a very rude person and they were extremely the nicest to me. Zouhair is the man with the best customer service in that place.

I love this place for their pastries and coffee. I went there for lunch and tried one of their salads- salad size was adequate and the chicken salad was OK, although a little chewy. Fast service and friendly staff.

Well I have been going to this place for several months now and this is they are usually very tasty. This however is the second time that food has been subpar. I ordered the Gourmet Chicken Sandwich for $12.90 which isn't that bad. That said this is the 2nd time that ordered it and the bread is stale and the chick on both pieces are the size of my thumb nail. Do not order this since seem to think it's okay to give stale bread and little to no protein....I will add that I do like the Ham & Cheese Croissant and give that 4 stars, so maybe I will stick to that.

Great coffee shop and great service. Many pastries in the offer and my kids love the sausage, fruit and scramble eggs. The latte is superb.

I have been here before and food and service was great. This visit it was a different tall girl at the register and she needs some lessons on customer service. Other than that the food was excellent. This time l had the chicken salad croissant with a balsamic salad, chai tea latte which was the best I've ever had and a cheese danish and a chocolate croissant.

the crepe wasn't good. the ham was just diced deli ham & was still cold in the middle & the onions were so raw they were still crunchy. Only gave it two stars because the man that brought my food over was really nice.
