I stopped in here on a whim because it was past lunch time and I was hungry and for the outside the establishment look clean and nice and inviting. I ordered a Cuban press sandwich and it was absolutely phenomenal and authentic. The rest of the smells coming from the kitchen were delicious and I would not hesitate to recommend this lunch counter to anyone.

Stopped by for breakfast. Don't understand why they add the tip on your bill when you have to order your food at the register and the only thing they do is to bring to you. It's not very clean- we sat outside and the salt shakers were gross, couldn't use it. $32 breakfast for a family of four with little kids, you would think you would get better than foam plates. Food was extremely greasy, even the pancakes! The only good thing was cafe con leche.

I would give 0 stars if I could. DO NOT COME HERE. Food is nasty, it has no flavor, it was cold and the employees were rude. I ordered a salad the garlic chicken and white rice. Rice cold. Salad looked like it was being kept refrigerated and it was rotten. NOT FRESH AT ALL. And the garlic chicken you could not taste the chicken because the garlic was too strong. The prices were too much for this trashy food. DO NOT COME HERE. PERIOD. Esta comida estuvo horrible.

Worst Cuban food and service ever, people was rude... asked for fried fish, said it was frozen. Ordered lobster and was served cold. Did not get tostones with the entree and when we were charged she gave us an actitud. We wanted to give them an opportunity but should of left like the other customers did. Tamale was cold and had an awful taste. Papaya juice was terrible. The only good thing was the can coke soda, because it was cold. DO NOT recommend. Paid $32 for a coke basically!

Breakfast was good, bit different from the normal. Coffee was about the best I've ever had, and the juices are amazing. Can be a bit hard to understand the servers if your not use to the accent. Defently worth the stop, great value!

A MUST EAT IN THE KEYS!! GREAT food at GREAT prices. The portions are pretty big too. The workers are so kind and will patiently explain the menu if you don’t understand and offer recommendations- take them. I’m from a place in Arkansas where we have a lot of Hispanics and the food is authentic and great, but we don’t have anything like this. Cuban food is an amazing variation of Latin American cuisine. The coffee is great also. Just beware- if you ask for sugar in it, be prepared for SWEET. I wish I would have taken pictures of the food. I shared a plate of roasted pork with yuca, black beans, and rice, and an empanada and an a la carts side of sweet plantains. All of it was phenomenal. Plus it gets old eating seafood every night, so it was nice to have a little reminder of home while also trying something new and unique. The atmosphere is fun and laid back, however we also went after typical lunch rush hour. Didn’t try the juices but I’m sure they’re amazing. I have seen other posts complaining about a mis-charge of food and weird prices, however I think they might have misunderstood the menu because we had no charging issues. I think people don’t understand the sandwich doesn’t come with sides.

Not good at all. When we arrived, we were the only customers. We placed our order and sat around for approx 5 min with nobody moving. All of a sudden, the cook came back from Subway with his sandwich/lunch. Since we already ordered, it was too late to cancel. I mean, if the cook won't eat the food, what other sign do you need.

The Hamburger was old and dry - like it was cooked at a backyard BBQ 2 days ago and warmed up in the microwave. Then served on stale bread.
Cuban sandwich bread was dry and old, which was a shame because I was hoping for a good sandwich.

Dissapointing. Skip this place.

Place was packed every time we drove by and I love a Cuban sandwich so this was the obvious place to go in Marathon. Boy what a mistake.

The sandwich itself weighed about 5 lbs. so I was pretty excited. Cold inside, barely toasted outside. My wife was picking huge chunks of pork fat from hers. First sandwich in my 50 years I didn’t finish.

Garbage.
