Super strong and fresh coffee, prepare to be wired

Jessica Mccroan

Came here with friends and ordered a soy vanilla latte, the coffee tasted fantastic and the staff was super friendly! The only downside is that their coffee is a little pricey and they don't have almond milk.

Yuk, yuk yuk, horrible "customer service" and a cold stoic atmosphere, if you don't want any personality and be treated like a number this is your place. Worst coffee experience in years- and I traveled NJ.

I left a tip before i was served, and I wish I would have gone in and taken it back out of the jar. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! HORRIBLE. I NEVER leave reviews this is my first one. I just felt so compelled to after the other day. I understand college kids aren't always the best employees but when there is only one customer and it takes 20 minutes for the coffee to get done there is a serious problem. AND IT WAS COLDD!!! IT WAS COLD! 20 MINS FOR COFFEE AND IT WAS COLD. I did'nt complain (the snotty barista wouldn't have cared anyway she was too busy talking to the other employee who I only know works there because of her shirt not by her actually working) I just left never to return. Sorry this is so long but in conclusion DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT WHAT YOU ORDERED WITHIN IN AN HOUR AND HOW YOU ORDERD IT. 20 MINS FOR COLD COFFEE :(

I am a huge fan of Volta; they always have a great selection of Ruby coffees for sale, and the people are very nice. Great atmosphere with lots of natural light.

Would've given more stars, I hate giving bad reviews but I think the rampant attitude problems at places like Volta need to be addressed. I know being hipster is in the "in thing" right now and having tattoos under your arm is a part of the "brand'' but that doesn't mean you have to act entitled or as though you're better than your customers because you listen to obscure music. The pretentious and rude staff make me hurry out every time. Otherwise decent, expensive food and coffee.

I love their coffee and tea. The place is well designed, open space with big glassy windows for natural light. I wish there are more places like this in Gainesville.

Madeline Welsh

Coffee was decent enough but the overall vibe was weird and the staff were kind of snooty about coffee. I asked for "one coffee" and it turned into a whole thing. Also it was brewed too hot and tasted burnt

Nice place to study! But it is always crowded. So I don't prefer to go there, even though I like the Volta's coffees. Sometimes parking could be a problem too.

Nathan Burke

Coffee is good, but compared to neighboring Wyatt's, the employees were rude and uninviting-a bummer since I would definitely come here more often if the baristas working behind the counter were a bit more friendly.
