Volta Coffee, Tea & Chocolate

I've been here twice. Not really sure what to say other than I had a bad experience both times. The first time, I just didn't enjoy what I ordered. This time, I ordered a cafe au lait which is a fairly standard drink amongst coffee shops pretty much everywhere. I received what looked like an iced coffee with milk. When I told them that I had ordered a hot drink - a cafe au lait - and didn't say I wanted it iced, they asked me if I wanted a latte. A cafe au lait is typically about 3/4 cup filled with regular coffee (not espresso) and steamed milk, so I asked for that but I was told that they don't make coffee(??) and offered me a cortado. This might of been ok but not what I was looking for... I know they sort of attempted to correct the issue, but it was sort of odd for a coffee shop to not know what a cafe au lait was or to assume I wanted an iced drink. I ended up just taking the iced coffee but it honestly tasted really awful. I don't think their coffee flavor is right for me. Also, I couldn't find an outlet and the wifi wasn't great (Took me a while to connect) so I left.

Something about their coffee is really special. Love their lattes. Great place to hang out and talk. This is the kind of place I miss from college.

Got a coffee here a few days ago. Pretty disappointed, I thought with the prices the coffee would taste pretty good or have some sort of element that made it different. Paying $6 for an iced coffee that wasn’t filled to the top of the cup and tasted like one I could get at McDonald’s was a waste.

Favorite coffee place in town. Their iced coffee is legitimately to die for and they have extremely pleasant flavors in every single one of their blends. The staff is welcoming and there's always something good to eat available. Fresh ingredients means fresh stock, so every time you stop by there will be something new.

Love the coffee here, took my friends from out of town and they're already talking about going back. I got the chocolate Maya and it relieved a terrible tension I had. Highly recommend 👌

I don’t understand the hype about this place. Coffee is ok and the atmosphere pretty average. Not enough options for plant based milks, barista not very helpful qnd quite slow. Sorry, but definitely not a place we would come back to. P.s. they do sell very boring and uninspiring “v is for vaccine” T-shirts if you need one :/ :/ 😅😳🤯🤯

Yooo I wish I found this place sooner. That cinnamon oatmilk latte is scrumptious! Also the staff was really cool and helpful. I'll def be doing another review on this place after I try everything out! One thing y'all need is a bigger sign out front and more ads. We need everyone to know about this place! See y'all again soon. !

The environment and location is nice, I personally wish there were more comfortable seating and other coffee roasts available. From what I understand the owner judges coffees and chooses their favorites for the cafe. While I respect their methods for choosing roasts, I wish they would include other roasts besides just those with citrusy notes. I usually don't go here because of the coffee roasts available and the somewhat higher prices, but if I meet a group of friends here for coffee I'm happy to join them.

Great coffee shop. Very hip and relaxed.
Lots of seating.
Coffee is good but doesn't quite match up to Wyatt's down the street.
Staff is friendly but a little too hip sometimes, making them slightly unfriendly.
(Bonus: Amazing selection of chocolate on the side - better than you'll find anywhere else in town!)

The coffee here is fantastic and they brew it the right way! It may not be an every-day-cup of coffee, because of the quality, but it’s a great spot when you want something better than the main stream coffee places of the world. It also has a great atmosphere to be a meeting spot. I also saw an article where it’s ranked the #22 best coffee shop in the U.S. I highly recommend!
