This place is awesome the owner used to travel the world and taste coffee. They make my coffee perfect every time full flavor it's great. You won't get a bad cup here. My name is Alex the macchiato guy and this is one of my favorite spots everytime I stop by gainsville. The quiches here are amazing all fresh and same with the pastries.

Convenient location , comfortable atmosphere. A few more varieties of non dairy milk options would be nice to choose from, soy was free but oat cost $0.50 extra. We ordered four different drinks and honestly they all tasted the same. They weren’t bad, just nothing terribly exciting or different about them. It was nice to find an actual local coffee shop, besides chains or gas stations, and the staff was very friendly. I would like to try Volta again, next time I visit Gainesville.

Volta Coffee, Tea & Chocolate is a super chill coffee shop. Their pour over section of the menu didn't really have any good descriptions of the beans and what the flavor profile were for all of them. However ,the barista was more than happy to explain all their flavor profiles to me. I had their Guatemala Lucia Pablo because I was in the mood for a coffee with floral notes and so their recommendation was spot on. It was very yummy. The mug provided was stylish too.
I'll have to try their chocolate drinks next time because it appears they use fresh chocolate and you can't go wrong with that!

We just stopped for a latte, a cappuccino, and a couple of sweet bites. Everything was excellent. I think I'll be back in the morning for their brewed coffee. Looks like they have an excellent tea selection too (like tea connoisseur tea - whole leaf tea served in pots). They put a lot of thought and effort into the products they serve. Highly recommend.

Great coffee and homemade goodies. I tried the grapefruit pound cake and it was so tasty.

Loved the experience and calm energy of the shop. The Volta Chocolate Single was really good and the Lemon Pudding was perfect. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Will definitely come back, again.

What a lovely place! The service was great, they were knowledgeable and helped me choose what to order. On point and very timely. Great business to support during covid. The owner makes a special Japanese street food dish that was to die for! They also sell flour, coffee beans, honeys, and other great homegoods.

Great coffeeshop! My go to spot when I have to work remote. Didn't use their WiFi so unsure of the speed and reliability. The staff is amazing and attentive to your request. The place can get busy but overall nice atmosphere. You should definitely check out their tea selection!

Pretty good third-wave coffee shop. While there I had a Burundi and a Colombian espresso, both roasted by Ruby. The shots were very good, although the preparation was a little sloppy—both ended up with a few grinds in the cup, likely due to some haste in preparation. The espresso was served in a really nice, heavy, thick ceramic cup. I would, however, have appreciated some sparkling water with it, as is commonly served with espresso.
I was disappointed that there was only one bag of coffee for sale. I bought it for family, and returned the next day for another (for myself). They said they had no more anywhere for sale. This is a first time for me, visiting a coffee shop who have no coffee for sale. I hope their stock isn't usually this limited.
The baristas were friendly, and there was an abundance of good seating, even with a lot of people there. WiFi is protected, but the password is written on the board. Parking was easy, but I was in town for a holiday week, so I don't know how it usually is.

Volta Coffee, Tea & Chocolates is the best example of true Southern Hospitality! The lovely shopkeepers were welcoming and attentive. I was in a very bad mood when I arrived at the shop and marched directly into the bathroom. No one stopped me and greeted me, kindly. I felt I was welcomed. I came to the counter and I ordered a cappuccino and browny. The drink was strong & the browny was sweet & melting (with a slight crisp on the sides). All was absolutely perfect. I asked for local information and was given very detailed info on what I was looking for. I felt like I was at the tourist info place. After sitting & sipping my drink, I started to feel wonderful; The place has very good energy. I could not finish my pastry and walked to the counter to grab some napkins, so I could take this delicious slice home. The lovely lady, Kami ( I hope I am spelling it right) saw me straggling and offered two types of "to-go wraps" that I could use. It put a big smile on my face. I felt like I was visiting family. I felt genuine care.
Thank you, Volta! May Karma be with you,
