I celebrated my birthday with a spa service as well as lunch with a group of friends. My therapist was not very friendly and was coughing through the entire session. I later became sick and had to be out of work during the busiest season. I contacted the hotel and spoke with spa manager who was also dismissive and didn’t help the situation.

Positive: The location was very convenient for my purposes. The pool was huge and gorgeous. The parking was convenient. The room tv was also huge and allowed streaming from all of the major services. Excellent in room self service expresso. Negative: The lobby is beautiful. However the only time you see it is in check in. The entrance from the parking is on the lower level. So you bypass the lobby every time you enter and exit.

Fabulous hotel! We stayed over New Year's, when the hotel was sold out and two weddings were going on, so were expecting hassles and crowds. Instead, everything went smoothly and service was exceptional. This hotel is more charming and gorgeous in person than the photos (and the photos are extremely impressive). The pool was lovely and didn't have that awful packed feeling that other big resorts have. Would love to go back and stay longer.

This historic hotel has a beautiful building with grandeur and fantastic amenities. The pool area is large, it has a restaurant, lots of deck chairs and cabanas that offer great comfort and privacy. I would recommend cabana 1 in particular as it is the most spacious, offers the greatest degree of privacy and is closest to the hotel. You get a complimentary charcuterie board and bottle of sparkling wine (the waiter claimed champagne but alas). The food is average. There are tennis courts but these are state owned and oddly close at around 1pm. I highly recommend this place, especially for its close proximity to Miami airport.
life is great
First I must say the hotel us very nice service was great. Breakfast room service was ok at best they forgot one of our meals food was ok. We also had a leak in our bathroom ceiling but they fixed that. Once again really nice hotel

Superb experience in a beautiful historic property! We drove out here for the Sunday Brunch while staying in Miami Beach last year, and were so impressed with it then that we decided to stay here this year for one night following our flight out before we drove down to the Keys.
We took a red-eye flight out and arrived at the hotel around 7:45am, fully intending to just check our bags at the front desk and wander around until our cabana became available at 10am. You can imagine our surprise when at 7:45am, they told us they had a room ready and we could actually check in! After little sleep on the overnight flight, it was so amazing to be able to go straight to our junior suite and lay down for a couple hours before going to the pool.
The cabana experience was also very enjoyable. The price was extremely reasonable (about half the cost of the average cabana in Miami Beach), and our attendant (unfortunately I don't remember his name) was very courteous and checked on us often without being obtrusive. By afternoon it had warmed up enough to go in the pool, which is gigantic and beautiful. Even if a lot of other people are there, it doesn't feel crowded thanks to it's sheer size. Also love the grand lobby area (and the mini aviary with the little finches was a delight for this bird enthusiast!).
Overall we had an amazing time...wish we would have spent more time here and less in the Keys. Thank you to all staff who made our stay memorable!

I have no idea why these reviews are so high. It was JUST OK...the staff were all miserable and clearly did not want to be there. Go ahead and call the place to ask questions, guarantee you will get someone who barely speaks to you. Brunch was terrible dont waste your money. Dinner was actually quite good. The chef came to table and the service was lovely. The room was clean. The pool had 1/2 the seats it needed and the drink place at the pool was dirty and disgusting. I am not sure how this hotel gets high reviews. It is actually baffling to me. We wont go back and would not recommend to others. Stay at a Best Western they are comparable.

Old hotel, old rooms. Horrible equipped. They charge every package you receive and the charged me things I did not spend in my credit card AFTER I checked out without permission. Wont ever come back.

I do not usually write reviews but I felt it necessary to warn future customers considering I have never met staff members as rude as at the Biltmore. The ambience at this hotel is unwelcoming to say the least. This is a common theme throughout the staff,
especially someone I met working at the Concierge desk. if you don’t like interacting with customers in a civil way you simply shouldn’t be in customer service there is no need for a disgusting attitude. I’ve never experienced such passive aggressive behavior from an employe let alone at an establishment reaching almost five stars. I’m sure they have nice employees maybe I was unlucky to say the least do not waste your money at this hotel. They definitely need to discuss the importance of attitude toward paying customers considering the hotel is not what it once was. I’m highly disappointed the best part of my stay was the scenery the rooms definitely need more maintenance. The employee who I spoke to had a horrible attitude and very obviously has a lack of enjoyment for her job she did not even have a name tag which is extremely odd as other employees did. I would write her name down but unfortunately by the time I came down to ask she was gone and was not there the next day. I recommend spending your money elsewhere with more attentive staff who do not act pestered every time they interact with a customer. The best part of my stay was the golf course. I would never recommend this hotel my experience says enough I will never be coming back. I hope this issue is discussed as I’m not the only one who experienced poor attitudes from staff it’s evident in other reviews that this is a common experience. They answered 0 out of 7 calls to the front desk throughout my stay. Why work in customer service if you act bothered every time you deal with a customer. The one thing I can say is that love the architecture but unfortunately that does not make up for their poor service and attitudes.
