Everything is exquisite , I highly recommend this place , it is clean , the decoration is beautiful , the food is delicious and the people who work there are very attentive . I will be back !
Very good. The place is comfortable. The service expectacular. I think needs change the style of the pork. But, the mofongos are delicious, the turnovers, the piña colada, the quesitos...everything is really delicious 😋
This is a very authentic Puerto Rican restaurant. The piña colada’s are the best I’ve had in DC. The Mofongo was delicious. They do not have my mofongo with a cream sauce. Perfect for dinner or lunch or brunch. They have a nice area where you can sit outside and eat. Everything is ordered through your phone.
Cute little restaurant. We sat at two top with swing chairs that was fun! You place all your orders digital which is good and bad. I had questions about things on the menu and couldn’t get anyone’s attention. I ordered a mojito that was ALL like juice and literally hurt my stomach drinking. I choose that because the guava smash seemed too sweet. I was wrong. I ordered the guava when the mojito was undrinkable, it was also very sour. The food was very good tho. We beef Pastelillos and Carne Frita for apps. Pastelillos were delicious with great dipping sauces. The carne was a little dry but tostones were flavorful! For our mains we had Pollo En Fricase and Mofongo with pork. Both dishes had a very lite flavor, nothing to write home about. All and all it was ok but probably won’t have a return visit.
Not a place to get authentic Puerto Rican food The arroz con Gondules tasted like it had salsa in it. The empanadas had no flavor. I was disappointed. The drinks were tasty.
Best Puerto Rican cuisine in DC with an amazing cafe and bar program. I was blown away by their seafood salad, fried plantains, and espresso. The porkchop was so tender and flavorful as were all the dishes. My preferred drink was the Guava Smash, which was well balanced while being tropical and refreshing.
They have an extremely hospitable staff and beautiful space. This is a go to spot to take friends.
I will mention that there aren't many vegetarian or vegan options, but that may change?
Want to get transported to PR?! Come here. The decor is so beautiful and elegant. There's music playing. The pastel colors are bright with the light coming in from the large glass windows. It makes you feel like you're somewhere else. The staff was so kind and patient. I had only had PR once on a food truck along with some at home experiences. I didn't realize the flavors could meld so well with the textures.
I had the tripleta sandwich because it was recommended as the best sandwich. I haven't tried the rest but this is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I'd like to compare it to a Porchetta Sandwhich from Italy but with more meat and a creamy crunchy mixed experience. Bread is key right? The bread was so soft and it absorbed much of the sauce that was paired with it.
I had the Carne Pastelillos....the meat to pastry ratio was perfect. 85% meat 15% pastry. The pastry itself is light and flaky. It came with two sauces! I'm sorry I didn't ask what they were but both were great. I could have ordered 10 of these!
This definitely a place I'd recommend to take someone on a date. Especially someone with a PR background. I think they would be highly impressed. The warm welcoming environment will set the tone for the date!
$$$Great PuertoRican place, with delicious food, and a little taste of home for those like me that are always trying to find it. Met the owner on my first visit and made a great impression as well as being very attentive, very pleasant staff and I will for sure be coming back as soon as I can. The most exciting part of my visit was the Mofongo with Pulpo (octopus), the beef empanadas and the cheese balls!!! There's just many options to chose from so do not hesitate to try them all! Parking is a bit hard to come by and being DC it's a bit frustrating but worth it.
I went here for lunch on a Friday afternoon with co-workers. The vibe was laid back. Once seated, you have the option or order with your phone or walk up to a register. The phone ordering worked surprisingly well and service was fairly quick and courteous. I had the Pollo en Fricase which was flavorful and filling. I will definitely come back for lunch or breakfast which looked great too.

Enjoyed the carne guisada and pork belly mofongo. Definitely worth a visit when in the navy yard (or when living in the neighborhood)
