Cute decorations. Drink & food are so good. The price is fair. Easy location to find for parking. And I love that they have QR code so you can scan, order & pay thru your phone. All the staffs are so nice and careful
I was skeptical at first…. You order through your phone at the table and there’s a self serve water station. It’s a little pricey, i spent $40 for the food and wine in the pic put the staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and the food did not disappoint. I highly suggest the Mariscos! The seafood is fresh and seasoned really well.
This was so good and I am glad I had the chance to dine at La Famosa. I tried three drinks on the menu, and they were all good. The beef pastelillos were so delicious as well as the canoa De platano. I finished dinner with a guava pastry that satisfied my sweet tooth. I'll definitely visit again to have the same things.
La Famosa was sooo DELICIOUS 😋. We did a random Google search for a good Puerto Rican restaurant since the first Puerto Restaurant we TRIED to eat at refused to seat us. We decided to sit at the bar and the service was very good. All of the food and drink suggestions that the bartender gave us were sooo good. We can't wait to come back again.
Very authentic and what could be better than getting some Boricua food before heading to a Nats game. The coffee es muy rico! The arroz con gandules is as good as you’ll get anywhere and los plantanos con bacalao was marvelous! Viva Puerto Rico 🇵🇷!!
First time dining in, prompt service in a very friendly environment. Very good food and good portions, but the drinks (batidos & alcohol) were on the small side. Overall a solid 4.5
just visited this restaurant and was very please with the food an service. Is authentic puertorirican cuisine but even better IMO and everyone was very nice. 10/10 would recommend. The staff went above and beyond replacing and refunding whatever they didn't have after we order.
update: visited a second time today 7/7/22 and i can assure you that is as good or better than the first time! the canoa with cod was TO DIE FOR and i dont even like cod 😂 Amazing!!! 😍
Amazing! We almost walked past but just had the most delicious birthday lunch. The Shrimp Mofongo was seasoned perfectly. It was a healthy portion. The Canoa de Platano was so good! And we finished with the Coquito Bread Pudding delivered at the perfect time by the gracious owner himself; it was divine! So creamy, perfect amount of coquito and the toasted coconut was delish!
The service was great (even though you scan the menu and pay online. Due to ‘rona this is super common and we didn’t mind at all) and servers and the owner checked on us several times. The decor was lively and colorful. Super clean and we felt safe and distanced.
La Famosa has to be one of the most underrated restaurants in DC. The food is prepared so fresh and is absolutely delicious and beautiful every time. The staff and the restaurant vibes are immaculate, reggaeton playing all day every day. The mofongo in all forms is hands down best in the city.
The food here is delicious! Tastes like I am in Puerto Rico 🥰. Portions are a great size, especially the Tripelta! The bolitas are gooey and cheesy once you bite in to it. Taste like the perfect mac and cheese cheese. The guava paste just sets it off!
