I was excited about this place! The coffee smelled great! However while standing in line I watched the barista sneeze four times one was open air no attempt to cover it and then immediately three following were into her hand when it was visible snot.It was pretty nasty I was expecting her to wash her hands but she just wiped it on her shirt grabbed a cup and started making somebody’s coffee. That’s all I needed to see I immediately turned around and walked out I will not be going back. *edit* check your cameras for between 8:30-9:30 am watch for a Heavy set man with tattoos all over my arms/hand/legs/face with a beard wearing a green hoodie. It was the female barista. I have no reason to lie!

This coffee shop is absolutely perfect on all angles. They are connected to the farmers and have the best beans. They use the best ingredients and have flawless pastries. They are also very kind and not pretentious and the crowd is also reflecting that. I love this little coffee shop and hope it stays around for a long time.

Love their beans and coffee! I like what they are doing helping Guatemala. The service is great and the old house it's in is so cute!
Sadly they sold me an old donut. It was inedible, so I am wary of their non coffee menu items.

Great local coffee shop with a wonderful purpose. Owners and staff alike are friendly and thoughtful. Coffee and tea drinks are well made and fairly priced. Love that they sell food and goods from other small businesses. Definitely worth the trip if you're not in the neighborhood. Can enjoy a morning or midday coffee inside or relaxing outside

When we are in Washington DC we make a point of visiting La Coop several times during the week for a cappuccino and a pastry like a scone or croissant. Great spot to sit outside on picnic tables to savor our purchases.
Service top notch to boot!

Tried La Coop one time and it quickly turned into a weekly Friday treat to pick up two iced lattes. Love walking into a bungalow with such a cheerful vibe. I enjoy all the outdoor seating options, including that front porch life of my dreams. The pastries are great and I love that they offer paper straws. Friendly staff too. Love it so much I bought a t-shirt!

It's cozy, it has outside sitting and a big patio. The coffee is good and I love their eggs empanada.

Came here on a weekday morning around 10AM, wow there were lots of people! Got a cheese and chive scone along with a hot earl grey tea, sat by the window to chat. Place feels homey, good vibes, clean, good lighting, friendly staff. Scone was a bit dry, tea was pretty average, nothing special about it. I appreciated that they had recycling, also noticed both paper and plastic straws available.

Such a neighborhood gem. Great coffee, chai, and other drink selections, good selection of food, and friendly service. Always families, dogs, and neighbors hanging out in the front on the great outdoor seating. Quickly becoming a part of our weekly tradition.
