River Rock Cafe

We went ignored by the host for over 10 minutes. When she finally acknowledged us and asked how many, she threw her arms up and yelled at me. We had a party of 10, which is large, but we were willing to be flexible. They had a six top, so we asked if we could move a chair so the 7 of us there could eat. They informed us we couldn't move a chair because we would "take someone's head off moving it." Suffice to say, we left.

Great food, friendly staff and an overall great experience. Very cozy and comfortable. Will be back again and recommend to anyone that may be passing through or staying in Walden 👍

The River Rock Cafe is a hidden gem! It was a great stop for breakfast on our family road trip. Great value for money and beautiful decor inside.

I was recently stranded in Walden overnight due to a snow storm along with several other dozen people with nowhere to go. River Rock Cafe stayed open late and served so many people while short staffed. The food was great and hospitality were excellent and I was so grateful for their generous service in giving stranded folks warm food and shelter when we needed it.

Absolutely terrible service! My husband asked for beers and was told by the waiter he was too busy to take his order at the time then when he brought over the beers slammed them on the table! Not once did we a get a refill!! Steak was overdone. Terrible service

Ate here two times mid July and both meals were very good.

Always stop here and eat lunch when passing thru. Great food, good service way cool place to eat. As with everyone these days... one has to be patient and let the good things come.
Will stop again ! B-)

Dinner was great. Got there half hr before closing and it was busy. Was served quickly with limited staff and treated great. Got a steak for dinner and was quite pleased. Steak was cooked to order and the shamrock soup of the day was tasty.

We were tired road weary Arkies who had just came down out of the Rabbitt Ears Range. There was not a lot of places to choose from so we ate here and it beat The Red Lobster we had for supper the night before! Come here have the chicken fried steak. The gravy is good even by southern standards.

Fabulous atmosphere, food, music, and service. GF bun is tasty and they were very patient with the litany of questions that comes with having Celiacs. Highly recommend, and we will be back!
