What a great coffee shop here in our little mountain town. They have yummy baked goods and wonderful hot and cold drinks. Try the quiche of the day and you won’t be disappointed.

Beard and Braid has hit the sweet spot for coffee shops. It feels both relaxed and elevated in the sunny side-street location filled with cookbooks and plants. Skilled baristas craft gorgeous lattes with creative house-made flavors and beautiful (if rapidly sold out) pastries.
We are coffee people and this coffee shop isn't just great for a small town, it could go toe to toe with our favorites in cities across the country. If you love coffee and you're in Steamboat, go visit this new gem.

For me, this place came out of nowhere, but it's been here awhile (RIP Azteca😥).

Great food offerings and super nice service. Fascinating that they can stay open and staffed in this crazy work world. Impressive!

Almost always hopping with casual meetings, laptop commuters and others.

The picture is of a cro-nut kinda thing that is worth every calorie. Not for sharing.

Get there early for the best selection--when they're out for the day, they're out. I respect that.

I consider myself a “weird coffee person” so I am frequently disappointed by most coffee shops. Beard & Braid is the rare exception. We loved our flat whites so much we went both days of our weekend trip to Steamboat and got a third round for the drive home. For espresso, they currently use the hometown blend from Sweet Bloom roasters (out of Denver). The pastries were all pretty good, too, but the lemon poppyseed cake was our favorite.

I have been twice and this place is a real gem. I have eaten croissants in Paris and the ones at Beard & Braid are just as good. Probably because the owner Jess makes them in house daily! The Mexican hot chocolate is to die for and the staff is incredibly friendly including the owner Jess and manager Ethan. I can't wait to come back!

Best coffee in steamboat… and maybe even Colorado. Great vibes, staff, and pastries as well. You have to try the French toast latte!

Delicious! The owner bakes her own recipes— do not miss the salted chocolate chip cookie or the lemon earl grey coffee cake. We will be back Steamboat- for your hot springs and baked goods.

Great coffee (easily the best in Steamboat Springs) and a strong patty game. Everything is delicious. Wish there was one or two more savory options but overall it’s still pretty awesome. Will definitely be back!

My child ordered a horchata & they misheard & made a cortada.
Thankfully they made another horchata & gave us the cortada for free.
I gave them a good tip for the service.
They didn't argue with us, but politely made the change.
I've only had kind service there.
Good coffee
Snacks were moist, not dry.

Great coffee shop with very-well executed delicious coffee. They have single origins if you’re into that and the staff is super friendly. Pair it with something from smell that bread bakery which is nearby.
