Review of Lone Spur Cafe

The Lone Spur Cafe is a breakfast restaurant located in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The restaurant is open from Monday to Sunday, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, except for Fridays and Saturdays when it is closed. The restaurant has a country-themed decor, which is fun to look at. The staff is friendly and provides great service to the customers.

The restaurant offers a variety of breakfast dishes, including corned beef and hash, brisket Benedict, rib eye steak, and rack of ribs. The food is delicious and is served in ample portions. The biscuits and gravy, Cowboy BBQ Burger, and fries are some of the popular dishes among the customers. The restaurant also makes homemade ranch every day, which is a great addition to the salads.

However, some customers have reported issues with the quality of the food. Some customers have reported burnt sandwiches, cold soup, and bland breakfasts. The restaurant has also received negative reviews for running out of menu items and not informing the customers beforehand. Some customers have reported long wait times for food, and the restaurant has been understaffed at times.

The Lone Spur Cafe is a great place to have breakfast in Pagosa Springs. The food is delicious, and the staff is friendly. However, the restaurant needs to work on improving the quality of the food and informing the customers beforehand about any menu items that are not available. The restaurant also needs to ensure that it is adequately staffed to provide timely service to the customers.

Service was slow, however I do I understand being short staffed. Food was nothing great. Sloppy presentation. All of our food had no flavor. Definitely disappointed. Wouldn't go back.

Pretty early when we went, the waiter seemed to be on a “good one”. Asked for a Bloody Mary and the waiter made a Drunken Mary- aka a glass of vodka with a V8 back. As he sat down next to us he told us about his extensive use of drugs, then we watched the cook plate my French toast slices like a deck of card with no gloves…. Decided to leave before getting the full experience “unfortunately”

We found this place on the day before we were to leave Pagosa Springs. Wish we had found in sooner. Great food and service at a reasonable price. Be sure to also walk around the store a couple doors down. The sculptures and thousands of items from Mexico was worth the look.

Always love Lone Spur! Great food and service. In my opinion you can't go wrong eating here. Very nice staff. The chef is outstanding. He adds the nice little extras for a great meal!

The Green Chile was AMAZING.
So was chicken fried steak w/gravy, hash browns and a small biscuit and gravy on the side.
However..... We order "Huevos Rancheros" .... it was the Huevos....with chicken fingers, baked beans?, And chipotle sauce. .it was still tasty....just nothing of what we expected, maybe since we are from New Mexico, we were expecting something like from home. All in all, very great food, service, atmosphere.
Thank you.

We walked in on July 28th 2022 around noon the lady told us to sit anywhere. We sit on the patio and she tells us if sit outside it’s going to take a lot longer than if we sit inside. So we move inside and wait for 15 mins and don’t even get a menu. So we got up and walked out worst service especially when the restaurant only had like 1 person inside eating! Never going back to this place until they hire better service.

Server worked so hard keeping up with everything. Everyone was friendly even though they were super busy. Food was outstanding and definitely worth the money. Great portions, great people, and fantastic decor

Food was tasty but not accurately described in the menu. No mention of onions an peppers in the potatoes told the waitress she asked if I wanted remade I said no there wasn't that many of them. Then she fails to mention that onions are in the ranch as well after I told her I can't eat onions!

Staff was great and friendly and food was good. Took a little longer than expected to get our meal we split and it wasn't that busy. I'll try again as it's definitely worth another shot. Next time I will be sure to get pictures.

We walked in with a party of 8, the place wasn't busy at all. We were ignored by all 4 of the staff who were working the front. One employee proceeded to throw his hands up at us and seem apparently annoyed by the fact we even walked into this restaurant. Needless to say we were never seated, so we walked out.
