Review of Lone Spur Cafe

The Lone Spur Cafe is a breakfast restaurant located in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The restaurant is open from Monday to Sunday, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, except for Fridays and Saturdays when it is closed. The restaurant has a country-themed decor, which is fun to look at. The staff is friendly and provides great service to the customers.

The restaurant offers a variety of breakfast dishes, including corned beef and hash, brisket Benedict, rib eye steak, and rack of ribs. The food is delicious and is served in ample portions. The biscuits and gravy, Cowboy BBQ Burger, and fries are some of the popular dishes among the customers. The restaurant also makes homemade ranch every day, which is a great addition to the salads.

However, some customers have reported issues with the quality of the food. Some customers have reported burnt sandwiches, cold soup, and bland breakfasts. The restaurant has also received negative reviews for running out of menu items and not informing the customers beforehand. Some customers have reported long wait times for food, and the restaurant has been understaffed at times.

The Lone Spur Cafe is a great place to have breakfast in Pagosa Springs. The food is delicious, and the staff is friendly. However, the restaurant needs to work on improving the quality of the food and informing the customers beforehand about any menu items that are not available. The restaurant also needs to ensure that it is adequately staffed to provide timely service to the customers.

The overall experience is okay. They were out of a lot of ingredients due to holiday season BUT the great taste of the food made up for it. Get the Chorizo Scramble, with their French fries, and a side of their green chili and mix it all up!!

This is next to City Market so I don’t understand why not get the ingredients you’re missing from next door within walking distance.

Again the food is really good but they get 4 starts because they were lacking a lot of items from the menu.

Great breakfast place.
I enjoyed my thick-cut bacon and eggs meal. I like the fact that there is a choice of breads, including the choice of biscuit and gravy. I absolutely love the fried potatoes they serve with breakfast! Hashbrowns are available if you want.
There is a good choice of items on the menu, and the service is good.
One of my favorite breakfast places.

Wow. I don’t usually write reviews but this just needs to be shared. Easily the worst food experience I’ve ever had, and I didn’t even dine-in. It was my first time ordering food here, after hearing so many good reviews I was excited. I ordered the cowboy skillet, it was suppose to have a “cowboy portion” of hash browns, chorizo, jalapeños, two eggs, cheese, sour cream, and green onion. Enjoy the picture attached, it might make you laugh. So that sucked. I also ordered a salad for my friend and they neglected to include dressing. I checked that at least before leaving, went back inside to ask for some and they said they were out. So they allowed me to order a salad where dressing is pretty essential, without informing me they were out of dressing. I’m not usual a Karen about bad experiences because I’ve worked in customer service practically my whole life. But this is just baffling. I also left a 20% tip for takeout. I feel like I got robbed here.

Food, service AND drinks were all absolutely fantastic. We asked the bartender if she could make us an iced drink that was usually served hot and she responded “no problem!” Will be coming back here anytime we visit.

Nice location and good food. This was the first place we decided to get food from in Pagosa Springs. Lone Spur didn't disappoint. We had a sweet waitress who was relatively new but you would never know as she was super kind and eager to suggest or explain various dishes from the menu. Our food was a bit bland but cooked well and tasty. We arrived right before a rush so we got to see the owner in action, due to the open kitchen we were treated to a show. She cooked so fast and furious throwing down eggs, hashbrowns, Pancakes and meats like no other. This was by far a top breakfast spot in Pagosa Springs.

Waited 2 hours for food. They were down to 1 cook (2 servers) and ran out of eggs. Watched 4-5 tables walk out. Came for mimosas which was in their bio on google— found out they don’t currently have a liquor license. Service was not good but the food was perhaps one of the best fresh breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. Would give it another shot but would definitely make sure they don’t have tickets in the red before sitting next time. The 3 stars are fully for taste of food only.

Simply excellent! We ordered a rib eye steak and a rack of ribs. Very pleased with the food and the service! Can’t wait to try their breakfast.

The worst HB ever! Service sucked. Did not ask how my breakfast was.
1 star for the sirloin it had good flavor. Although the doneness varied. $17.09 sirloin steak and eggs with tax. I'll leave 3 dollars for a tip.

We stopped here for breakfast last weekend. It is such a cute and clean place. The customer service was great. This is our new "go-to" breakfast place in Pagosa

Great food and service. The wagon wheel pancake was huge! Kids loved their breakfast. Husband had soup and BLT and was very happy. Real cozy with great atmosphere!
