Review of Lone Spur Cafe

The Lone Spur Cafe is a breakfast restaurant located in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The restaurant is open from Monday to Sunday, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, except for Fridays and Saturdays when it is closed. The restaurant has a country-themed decor, which is fun to look at. The staff is friendly and provides great service to the customers.

The restaurant offers a variety of breakfast dishes, including corned beef and hash, brisket Benedict, rib eye steak, and rack of ribs. The food is delicious and is served in ample portions. The biscuits and gravy, Cowboy BBQ Burger, and fries are some of the popular dishes among the customers. The restaurant also makes homemade ranch every day, which is a great addition to the salads.

However, some customers have reported issues with the quality of the food. Some customers have reported burnt sandwiches, cold soup, and bland breakfasts. The restaurant has also received negative reviews for running out of menu items and not informing the customers beforehand. Some customers have reported long wait times for food, and the restaurant has been understaffed at times.

The Lone Spur Cafe is a great place to have breakfast in Pagosa Springs. The food is delicious, and the staff is friendly. However, the restaurant needs to work on improving the quality of the food and informing the customers beforehand about any menu items that are not available. The restaurant also needs to ensure that it is adequately staffed to provide timely service to the customers.

Breakfast was pretty bland. Nothing too unpleasant, but I'm pretty sure this kind of experience is why white people are known for tasteless food. Staff was nice, though there were a couple mistakes with our order. All in all, a little too much Texas in a Colorado cafe.

Great food, great atmosphere. We are traveling and needed a place to grab a bite and do some work and our server, Anna, was amazing. She even brought out ice water for my dog and brought us refills for our tea when we came back maybe 20mins later to connect to the wifi to finish some work! They were very busy but Anna made us feel like valued guests. We will be coming back on our next trip!

I am beyond disappointed with the service and quality of food I reviewed this morning from the Pagosa location. Now I completely understand this location is short staffed but what I experienced this morning was completely unacceptable. The hour we were there my husband didn’t get the water he asked for, when our food came the order was not what we ordered. The two Spanish cowboy skillets were the same, hash browns with scrambled eggs and less jalapeño. The skillets didn’t not have chorizo(the waiter explained after we waited about 15 minutes to get their attention, that the new distributor is now giving them a “new” chorizo, this was not chorizo but sausage with a seasoning on it) there were 2 small pieces of chopped jalapeño, no sour cream and no green onions, we didn’t get our toast and jam, and my daughters pancake wasn’t served with syrup… the waiter explained the reasoning behind the mishap and stated she would take the two skillets off the order. After waiting another 10 minutes for the skillets I asked where our food was, she stated if we wanted the skillets back. At this point it had already been an hour wait and the two others we just about finished with their food. My food was taken from me so I didn’t have to pay?? The issue wasn’t rectified… I guarantee that was our last visit to this establishment…

Love their cowboy burrito- so very tasty & huge! Staff is friendly & attentive, our waiter Shane was great & never let our coffee cups go dry. Will come back next time we’re in town!

We ate corned beef hash and eggs and a breakfast burrito. The eggs served with the hash were excellent, otherwise, besides scrambled eggs in the burrito, the corn beef hash and pinto beans obviously came out of a can. The hash browns most likely came from a bag and were minimally cooked, not crispy. The staff was minimally attentive.
