1st time eating here in 10 years approx. It was great. Expensive, but great. Be prepared to use your light on your phone, the place is dimly lit.
Only complaint is that I swear they used to have rattlesnake, boar, rabbit, and pheasant. And of course I could be wrong there. Now, if you want boar, it comes in sausage, and there is another sausage made of rabbit & rattlesnake, which was alright, but nothing like actual rabbit or a grilled filet of rattlesnake.

Nothing to complain about the place. The staff were polite and professional. I went solo and ordered the game plate and 3 other side dishes. To give an example of the quality of the food, let's look at the mundane potato wedges served with the entree: the potatoes were cooked to the right tenderness. They had very rich sweet corn flavor even though there was not a kernel of corn served in the plate. You can also order the books about the restaurant and or the recipes of the food served. I was reading "eat up the Santa fe trail", learning the stories behind the restaurant, the history of the wild west cuisine while enjoying the restaurant's take on these historic western game foods.

Easiest 5 stars you could ever give. By far the best steakhouse in the state of Colorado.
Great service and cozy environment. The buffalo 🦬 buttered tenderloin was amazing.

Food was fantastic. I LOVED the side of red chili with the Herb Buttered Buffalo Tenderloin Filet Mignon and mashed Potatoes! Chili was spicy but I loved it!!
Atmosphere was very festive. The waitstaff, especially our waitress, Brielle, was attentive, knowledgeable and so friendly and fun!!
A great Christmas Eve! Hoping to be back next year!!

Wow!! The entire place is a feast for your eyes and palate. The story behind this location is worth the read on Google!! The food is rustic and good back to the roots of a hunters dream. I didn't care for the peanut butter jalapeños but I can say I've tried them!! The Mac is too die for and the Creme Brule le was the perfect finishing touch. Adventuresous cocktails and the fires on the patio shouldn't be missed. Go early and stay late the views are incredible!

What a special experience! The grounds are absolutely breathtaking with incredible views, the entire restaurant is quite impressive, and our food and service were top notch. Lynn was delightful and helped make our anniversary even more special- we’re so grateful and can’t wait to bring our families here!

Everything about the Fort was great. We loved all decor and they had a nice fire going on a cooler fall night. The food was amazing. First time trying buffalo prime rib and I can't wait to go back and get more. The service was amazing also! The whole experience of the Fort was memorable and we are planning our next visit already.

Amazing food. Old western atmosphere. Amazing margaritas. Just celebrated our anniversary here and this place is worth every penny.

This place is amazing, if expensive. My wife and I spent $280 on dinner for two (admittedly, we both splurged on duck breast, which you should, too).
The native American flutist is amazing, and we wound up buying one of his CDs.
The place is phenomenal and has a very picturesque view of Denver.
While it's expensive, we do go for anniversaries and birthdays (not every time). But it is a great experience.
