The Fort

Really enjoyed The Fort. Great service, good food. I think most would give it 5 stars. The food was just not my fare, but if you are a carnivore, this is a great place from what was available.

Unique place with great food. Try the bone marrow appetizer. The Elk w/ Huckleberry is really tasty, so is the Quail, The Buffalo tenderloin with herb butter melts in your mouth!

Recently ate here for my son's 16th birthday! And it was so cold inside the restaurant that we could not take our coats off,we were freezing the entire time! It took more than 3 hours to get through the meal and to me the food was very disappointing for the amount of money spent! I think my group would have been better off going to another chain steak house! By the end of the meal I couldn't feel my feet! We couldn't wait to get out of that ice box! I'd say if you go here? Maybe go in the summer!

Alex accosted me after we dined - he did the bare minimum and dared to demand more money as a tip.

I tipped the bartender separately since she did most of the hard work for us throughout the evening - apparently this can offend the waitstaff.

Atmosphere is everything, i had a relaxed dinner for my mothers birthday.
Everything and i mean everything was phenomenal!!
I could have eaten my Herb butter Bison Filet with a spoon. It was SO GOOD!

Attended the Murder Mystery dinner with family. Great time trying to solve the mystery! Prior to the dinner a mountain man went to each table and told the history of the restaurant. Entertaining story of Holly and her pet bear! Look for the picture of the bear drinking out of a bottle while seated on a bar stool.
Service was good.
The dinner served was steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Didn’t like that no one ask how you preferred the meat cooked. It came out rare-medium. My daughter steak was very rare, mine was a bit more cooked. Most at our table received very bloody steak.
The cheesecake was yummy!
Drinks are expensive one mixed drink and two glasses of wine cost $46.
Overpriced night out for the quality of the food.

Wonderful spot with a great patio view! Only had appetizers but it was very unique foods and good cocktails. Going to come back for a full steak dinner. Staff was very friendly and had great service. Highly recommend!

We come here for the Bison. Service is mixed and varies on the day. Hands down the herbed butter bison is the most tender. The rabbit and rattlesnake sausage is also worth it.

The Ft is always predictable.. It's always a home run. I bring clients in from all over the world, and when we show up their eye's roll back in their heads. Then they eat.. oh my God!!
Eat the bread folks!! (Corporate folks, they will live the Ft.)

The Fort never fails to impress -- from its history to the decor -- from excellent service to delicious foods -- it is a DO NOT MISS -- if you are in the Denver area. It is my favorite place when visiting the area.
