If you need propane don't buy it here. It's a rip off. They don't weight it and charge everyone the same amount no matter how much you need.

We camp not far from here at the foot of Grizzley Peak, and this spot provides for all our needs like that extra cold-rated sleeping bag we needed. Also, I'm sorry to admit that this year I drove off without paying for my gas. When I finally circled back and paid, Larry and the other guys were super nice and understanding about the whole thing. Larry is a great guy - say hi for me! They're under new ownership and it shows. The lady at the gift shop was super nice despite all our kids in her shop. The gift shop has some of the best t-shirt designs in the whole area, including Gunnison and Crested Butte. Also, the restaurant made us a fresh pot of coffee for our ride out. I also snagged a piece of their awesome mixed fruit pie. Strawberries and pears? I don't know, but it was good!

I have not been to the café that people seem to be complaining about but I have gone up there 4 times. Best place to go. There are so many roads to go up and the lake is gorgeous. Every morning a light fog covers the water. The camp grounds were always cleaned up. Camping by the water supplied an outhouse, water pump, and picnic tables. If you choose to go up in the forest I will guarantee you see wild life. All times I've gone up, I've seen a herd of deer, elk and 7 moose with 1 calf, all at different times. Wonderful place. I will defiantly be going up again this coming summer. Again I have not been to the restaurants or general store. Don't go if you want to have a nice trip. Make sure to pack lots of blankets or you'll regret it! Best place to go!!!! 100%

It's okay for a campground. A bit pricey, but that is to be expected, given their location and lack of competition. The shower house was nice, as well as the laundromat. Water got hot and showers were clean. CHECK TO SEE IF COTTONWOOD PASS is open before booking, if you plan to come through Buena Vista, as it is closed this year. Over all, not a bad place to stay. Staff is helpful. Our only complaint is that no pit bulls will be allowed in 2020. That might force us to make other arrangements, as we normally travel with our dogs.

Great little place to gas up your toys, grab some grub and fish bait!

So we come here for the riding, awesome place to visit to ride , however because it's a big riding area we were expecting a great place to stay especially for the charge of rooms ! It had everything we seeked in a great riding area , a restaurant, a gift shop a small store and friendly tourist, the down falls rude staff horrible service in restaurant no toilet paper no soap no shampoo and in kitchen it says to wash your dishes after use , no dish soap no napkins , so I been all over lake city , silver city and every cabin we rented had everything required that was needed ! I love the riding area of taylor park but I will not rent a room here ever again !

Stayed in Cabin 11 twice now, in 2016 and 2018. It is a basic cabin but it has served our needs very well. What you are getting with these cabins is location, location, location...you are staying right in the heart of Motorcycle/ATV/UTV nirvana! The staff are friendly and you get fresh towels everyday. It is true that there is very, very limited Internet data service (its all "roaming data" which can run out on plans quickly)...but voice service near the cabins has never been a problem. Your cabin neighbors will become your best friends...sharing in stories around the campfires and usually sharing in lots of food and supply items too! Great place, we will be back for sure!!

The family that runs the trading post are very friendly and helpful. They have some groceries, gifts and sometimes a laundromat (if the machines are working). You can also purchase a fishing license. They have very basic cabins for rent. There is also a RV camp ground. We recommend the Nugget restaurant located directly across from the Trading Post. Good food and great pie!!

Anyone coming to Taylor Lake...Military be aware...I rented a cabin and rented a 4 seater side by side and I am retired military...cabin was rock solid...the 4 wheeler rental customer service experience was the worst I have seen in my 35 year career. The owner was exceptionally rude, unprofessional and I would suggest any military coming to Taylor Lake NOT rent anything from this team of unprofessional people...

We've never had such an absolutely awful customer service experience than we did with Taylor Park Trading Post Cabins. Sadly we had to cancel our trip to Colorado due to rapidly changing COVID related travel restrictions. Upon hearing that we could not get our money by cancelling, we BEGGED to see if this reservation could be moved to a later date - and they said NO! Barry and Bernie (the two gentlemen who have been answering the phones) keep saying we need to wait for the owners to be in, to talk to them - we aren't even sure what that means? We have been hung up on once by either Barry or Bernie after we had called to see if the owners were available (as instructed!). We are still patiently waiting the outcome. As sad as the circumstances are and as beautiful as a place Taylor Park is, I would never recommend this place to anyone because of all the headache this has caused.
