Stayed here in a cabin and I was impressed with the recent updating of the bathroom and floors. Cabin was sealed up tight and very clean. Have stayed here many times through the years and it keeps getting better. The new ownership was friendly and seem to know the area well.

Cabin .. I’ve been coming to Taylor for 20+yrs
Seen lots of changes we love Taylor for trail riding and fishing but will not be renting a cabin again. Will be going back to dry camping and or Pitkin
Very few kitchen or cooking utensils, cabin sleeps 10 we got 8 towels, we were told when checking in mid week would receive more towels and garage bags finally Friday after 3 rd request only received 3 garbage bags
Cabin in GREAT need of upkeep, main bathroom stunk!! from septic leaching fields coming from drain!!!! Couldn’t barely use without gaging Reported -nothing done ! Dirty windows, broken patio chairs on deck, broken charcoal grill, grasses were high, broken dilapidated fences needed repair or removal, I realize it’s convince but if ownership charges $585. a night they need to do the upkeep. Way overpriced for what was given.
Every item in trading post from T- shirts to a can of soda is higher. Again I understand it’s convenience they are charging for but It cost $12. Bucks for a loaf of white bread and paper towels - Shame
The dirt common trail ( along side main highway) from trading post to get to main trails is in need of grading- spoke to many OHV riders who are chancing main road just to bypass it
No water hose at water pump or garbage cans at gas pumps for trash

Rented a cabin and it started well. Seemed clean but that all changed. My wife woke up to mouse droppings next to her face and a mouse ransacked our food. We weren't warned about that possibly happening and would have put everything up if we had. Talked to the staff and they didn't really seem to care. I get it's a rustic mountain area but indifference to rodent problems is not good. There was poop all over the counter, bathroom and our bed. Also the restaurant would only sell their most expensive item for take out but full menu if we ate in. Not sure why in covid times that's the case but just added in to a bad experience overall. If you come up here spend your money elsewhere like the marina.

Ridiculous prices little roll of cookies 3 bucks. Small size Gatorade 399. 2 bucks elsewhere. Gallon of water 5 bucks. Definitely taking advantage of location. St Elmos general store had same Gatorade 199.
Price gougers at their best.
Customer service kinda grumpy too.
Silver Plume in Pitkin does not feel need to gouge in prices. Gallon of water reasonably there.

Made reservations for the 18-24 of July 2020. We get confirmation in an email for the 20-24. Called to tell her the date is wrong and tried to change the details to fit us and she would not refund us our money even in spite of their mistake. Also if you tent camp you cannot run a generator past 10 pm. Guess they need the money more than me. If I could give them ZERO stars I would have! Thank you for such a great first experience to scenic Colorado!!

Staff was friendly and inviting, Site was clean. Hard to get to the correct person for after hour concerns would be my only report

Stayed at Sky High Colorado RV Park for the first time (early September) and unfortunately got caught in an early season blizzard. We still managed to ride the trails every day of our stay. That part of the trip and this area are absolutely unmatched for beauty, varied and challenging terrain, and trail options. A few negatives that should be fixed: 1) they need to install an atv wash station with a high pressure sprayer like in self-service car washes, after all, this IS a premier atv destination and it gets pretty muddy when there is precipitation; 2) they need to spread a helluva lot more gravel on both the camp roads and individual rv sites; 3) this entire rv park has just one, that's right ONE bathroom toilet stall for all the men in the park, and only two for the ladies !

We really enjoyed our visit to Taylor Park. Unfortunately, even in June, the passes were closed so our adventures in our side by side were curtailed. We did travel the trails as far as the snow would allow and git some amazing pictures. Our friend even found some plant fossils, how cool!

This is a wonderful place to get away, but it is pricy. You rent a cabin with a kitchen, some dishes, a bathroom with towels, one two or three beds, couch, fire pit, etc. Pretty rustic. The scenery is what you are paying for and there are at least 5 lakes and a river to fish nearby. If you like 4 wheeling it is a great place for that also. Love it here, just wish it were more affordable.

Such a beautiful place nestled in the mountains! There are hundreds of miles of atv trails, hiking trails, and camping. The reservoir has boats for rent. The elevation might affect some people so make sure to drink plenty of water. The fishing is world class!! If its not on your bucket list it should be. 😁 This is bear country so use a bear bag away from your campsite. Don't keep food in your tent.
