Loved this place, nearly canceled after reading the reviews & so glad that we didn't. If you are expecting luxury of home forget it, there is no TV barely cell service. It does have have a refrigerator, stove, pots & pans. I would recommend that you bring a fan because there isn't any air conditioning & the cabin gets warm during the day but there is heat for the cool nights.

This is a busy little place during the summer. They rent off road vehicles, have a well equipped store and cute little cafe. Gas is available as well although its not a city prices. You won't stand in line long and the owners family work everyday. They are kind and they work very hard to ensure you have everything that you need to enjoy Taylor Park.

Barry is great, ted on the other hand is the most unfriendly, rude person. Prices on food and cabins is outrageous. 8$ for a 7oz. Can of coffee.

We really enjoyed staying here for the week. Great location near many trails! If I understood correctly, they're raising their prices for 2021 by a LOT, by nearly 50%, so that is pretty disappointing, but other than that we had a good time and even though it's on really flat, treeless land with very little grass, the views are unbelievable!

*Editing to add- Owner states that price hike is not true, so maybe I heard a staff member wrong, but the staff stated that monthly rate will go from $700 to $1,000, which is a 43% increase. Either way, still enjoyed the stay!

All the essentials for your fishing needs. We were there early in the season. Every staff person was very helpful, friendly, and professional. They have OHVs and cabins to rent, also.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a trading post. The cabins aren't even fully cleaned, which whatever your in the mountains so we really didn't mind. But the hair on the bed sheets was too much. We had checked in with our two dogs and drove over to our cabin and the owner drove over about 20 minutes later and said "What did the paper work say when you checked in? Dogs are not allowed off leash this will he the last time I will ask you" 20 minutes after checking in and you deliver that low of hospitality?! I grew up in Colorado and have never experienced something like that and I haven't been the first to say so here just within the past 5 days I hope yall realize how many people are not coming back to you after there first experience. Respect is everything! Make it more inviting next summer!

My partner's family has been coming here for 45 years, but took a few year hiatus between their last trip and this one, about 10 years. When they came, this was a fishing spot. Now, it is very much an off-roading spot. Everyone here has ATVs and dozens of dirt bikes. Not the quiet cabins they remember. The scenery is amazing, the Trading Post is so nostalgic and quintessential mountain town vibes. The cabins are rustic. We are Denverites, if you are similar city people, these might not be the accommodations for you. The cabins are very dated and somewhat rundown. Questionable cleanliness. But overall about what you'd expect. If you're going for fishing, there are still good spots and you'll have fun. Lots of people from out of town here, not much of a Colorado secret anymore. Like many mountain towns and rural areas, visitors aren't terribly covid conscious. Staff were decently good about masks though. We kept a distance from others and were able to feel reasonably safe. We had fun but probably won't be back.

This place is great but where you park your cars to go on trails leaves your vehicle exposed to thieves.
Someone stole two of my VP gas caps from the back of my truck. I guess the only reason they didn't steal the whole gas cans because I had a cable through the handle.
Be aware of the thieves.

We were staying in the campground and we spoke with two other campers who stated that they rented side by sides and were given a military discount. We went and reserved one for the following day and asked about a military discount and we were told that they didn’t offer military discounts. I later asked the two campers who got a discount about it again and they assured me that they did receive a military discount and told me to talk to Brady. The next morning, we went to pick up our side by side and we asked about a military discount again, since these rental prices aren’t cheap. Brady was incredibly rude and said that they do not offer any discounts, period. Our friend had gone in right before us and asked for a military discount too, and he said the same thing. He said Brady was incredibly rude about it and refused. Obviously they do not support our military. We had a good time and didn’t have any issues with the machines, but the way that we were talked to for asking for a military discount was unacceptable. The customer service was a joke.
