SUR Restaurant & Lounge

This place was everything I expected it to be and more! Me and my fiancé are big fans of the show, and being new to Hollywood we had to check it out and it didn’t disappoint!

First-The location was ideal. It’s actually right near a really good dog park in West Hollywood, and their is parking at the library. First hour is free. And it’s only like a 5 min walk. We got seated in one of the garden sections and it was perfect. It was dark and romantic and felt comfortable being there! The restaurant is beautifully decorated as well!

Second-The food was phenomenal. A little pricey. But it’s worth it for the quality. We started off with some simple bread. But definitely get the goat cheese balls. That’s what they’re known for. It was simple though. Nothing special. For our meals we got the lamb Ragu which was out of this world. The lamb shoulder was perfectly cooked and their was plenty of pasta and meat. The portion was a good size. My fiancé got the spaghetti and it was unreal. I HIGHLY recommend getting a glass of Lisa vanderpumps wine. It was delicious!

Overall this place is incredible and I highly recommend going. You’ll enjoy it for sure!

We went for brunch on Sunday and the food was great! The service was good but we did order cocktails and they never came. We were there more for the experience anyways, but the food was great!!

Went for the experience and overall the food and drinks were ok, nothing special but fair for the price. Cleanliness was the thing that bothered me, all the outside dining had flowers, leaf or other plant materials on them and weren't cleaned off. Being the prices they were, I was hoping they were cleaner but no one cleaned the mess. We weren't the only patrons that had this problem, I saw more than 2 other tables get reseated due to mess. I wanted it to be a good experience but turned out to be just okay.

I love this restaurant ! Not only do I love the show, Vanderpump rules, but last night was my first time at this restaurant and I loved it. I had the lasagna and fried goat cheese balls for dinner, it was so delicious and tasty. I had dinner during Happy hour and the drinks were on point ! I recommend this place to anyone who wants good food. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Shoutout to the bartenders at this location ! I came to SUR on 03/19/2022

I was so excited to be in Los Angeles and go to Sur. I walk in and there’s DJ James Kennedy at the bar sitting with a pretty girl as I realized they were filming, how cool is that? We were seated outside where the seats were uncomfortable, the table and chair were on a slant so that was uncomfortable. I asked the waiter to surprise me with a cocktail and he brought back a blue drink that was undrinkable and had no taste whatsoever. I look over to the left and in walks in Lisa Vanderpump looking fabulous in her Chanel handbag. Behind us walks Raquel to a corner and James Kennedy and they proceed to film where of course James starts to cry. They ended the shoot and Lisa was shown the footage and they did a retake where James and Racquel were at it again and once again James was crying. While I was completely entertained we were served the most awful meal. We started with the cheese balls that were dry and unseasoned. We then shared a couple of the vegetarian dishes that were simply awful. Lisa, you have to find better chefs, have you tried your dishes that we are served? The bathroom was gross and I immediately knew who the manager was from watching Vanderpump rules and told her the woman’s bathroom needed attention. If it wasn’t for seeing James Kennedy and Racquel and Lisa it would have been a complete disaster of an evening. I then spoke to a local friend and he said SUR is known for the bad food and drink’s. What a shame!

After watching Vanderpump Rules since seaaon 1, I had to visit! We went for brunch, I had the lemon and lavender pancakes which were amazing! Very girly, glitzy atmosphere. Everything I expected 😊

Ryan and Loui made our evening soooo lovely! Food was great and everyone was so attentive and on top of everything. Peter came by and took a picture with us and it made my friends entire LA trip worth it. A great time was had and I would come back again.

My wife was very excited to go here on our trip to Los Angeles after seeing it on tv for years. The food was good. Our server was excellent.

This is worth the visit! I don’t know anything about it from the tv show or Lisa V but it was recommended and I loved it.

2 downsides are if it’s cold outdoors it’s not the best set up even for indoor dining. You still have open doors allowing the breeze so bring a cover up. Also seating can be odd in some areas meaning not comfortable. Sofa sinks in a lot

Get the fried goat ball for sure! Short tip and lamb pappardelle were delicious. Argentinian crepes were nothing special frankly over priced for the size

5)Jamie had Tomahawk Pork Milanese
6) T had Grilled Prime Skirt Steak

I'm not sure what went on in the production of that tomahawk Pork Milanese but that thing was fire! I wasn't expecting that! The Charcuterie was completely different from what I pictured in my head. I thought it would've came on a board and had a little more to it. Not what I was expecting but everything tasted good on it. Especially the honeycomb and pickled veggies. Overall cool friendly place. Parking was a nightmare. So if you go, you might get lucky finding street parking or have to valet for $20.
