The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Small location but great drinks. Lots of tea selections, and great coffees. Limited seating.

I work down the street from this coffee shop. I have been showing up on a regular basis in the early am buying either coffee, a muffin or a bottle of water plus tip as their credit card app bluntly asks for one when you go to pay. Today, a male employee approached my jeep. He appeared homeless but was clearly working outside with a leaf blower and this was his statement "can I get your drink started?" My response was "no". He then went on about I had been sitting in my jeep for awhile and they were getting pretty busy (not true, there was 3 cars including mine) and that they get a lot of people just using their parking lot. I told him I had been buying coffee from them for weeks. His response "I hadn't seen you" At this point, I just left. There was no point in arguing with him and I sure as hell not going to prove it by whipping out my credit card receipts. I won't be back.

This is one of my favorite places in town to people-watch. With a nice cup of your choice in hand (I'm a fan of the Chai Latte) and a dessert (my son and I have become addicted to the Mini Bear Claws), it's a great way to comfortably while away a little time along State Street.

Was driving through the area and stopped in for coffee. Normally I love coffee bean but I was very set back by my experience at this location. First, I wasn't treated the same as the Caucasian customers that came in after me. I actually ordered before the woman behind me and yet she got her ice blended drink before me. I was shocked how that was even possible. My husband is Caucasian and he also mentioned how she came into the store after me yet left before me. I got interesting looks and felt very uncomfortable. I'd never go to this location again as I felt so looked down on. It was the most uncomfortable I've felt in five minutes.

Always consistent in quality of coffee taste. Friendly efficient staff at a great down town location. Croissants are a must have with your favorite beverage.

Beverages are well made and seating both indoors and outdoors is nice for your personal morning or afternoon cup. At least one smile from any of the staff would trigger another star.

I love this Coffee Bean Location! It’s always Very Clean, Staff is Very Friendly Especially love the Morning Staff! Definitely Recommend to Anyone who’s Near By.

Love the Coffee Bean! Friendly staff and great coffee/tea selection. I only wish that the matcha powder was not sweetened!

I was in town for work and stopped here a few times. The young guys that were working here were so pleasant and made sure my drinks (cold brew, green tea, espresso) were great.

Very good coffee. Great management and friendly baristas.
