Copper Cafe and Bakery

Had lunch with a friend and have been wanting to eat here for many years now, so glad we finally did!! They are the only place around that offers a Monte Cristo and it was absolutely AMAZING!!

I'm a big, BIG fan of Monte Cristo sandwiches and this one very well may have been the best I've ever had, it was absolutely delicious! It had the taste of high quality ingredients while also feeling the tummy like the best of naughty treats.

I've eaten at Madonna Inn many times and, as usual, the staff are great! Friendly and courteous, very on it every step of the way. The experience of the atmosphere and decor are almost worth the trip alone, you just have to see it to get it.

Copper Cafe also has a huge following for their burgers and my friend said they did not disappoint. It was a very healthy size and she said it was definitely a very high quality and very tasty burger. The fries were top notch too!

The food is good but the decor is why you have to eat here at least once in your lifetime if you are traveling along the central coast of California. It is as if you entered a time machine and were shot back to 1960's California. The Copper Cafe’s design and appearance is a combination of the set inside the bottle in "I Dream of Jeannie" with the interior of a train in the "Wild Wild West."

What once was a fair value for breakfast, is no longer. For the most expensive breakfast in the area, we expect the best tasting food. Apparently, no more. Unfortunate, given the great community contributions the Madonna family has given to our community.

This is a place you come to gawk. It is a fantasy trip reminiscent of a movie set or theme park attraction. But that's only half of the reason to come here. Having a pie and coffee completes that fantasy experience. Delicious and trippy. You cannot do wrong.

Madonna Inn Bakery: I ordered a cake online thru their online portal. I did not receive a confirmation email. I called to inquire about my online order as I never received the confirmation email. The employee stated " the website isn't accurate but if I get a confirmation they will definitely make my order" I was unable to make the order over so I was just in a limbo. I tried to call early every morning from the day i placed the order to see if there was extra cakes made as advised to do so by an employee. I got nowhere with this process, so I gave up. I few days later I received a call inquiring if I was picking up my cake, however I didn't get the confirmation email and no one was able to verify if it actually was received on their end. I checked my account and there was a pending transaction. I called to inquire about my pending transaction, I spoke with Matt who advised me he would need to speak with a supervisor but It would be in the morning. Matt called promptly the following morning and advised me I can pick my cake up that Friday @9 AM, he confirmed all my info, and let me know it would have an inscription on it as well. Fast forward I commute 2.5 hrs away, all for my cake to be nowhere found. A employee by the name Jessie came up and asked what happened, I explained. He followed with all my info provided online was false. I asked him to verify the phone number and email, he couldn't. He stated he called personally and a gentleman answered and stated to cancel the order. This man did not order the cake, however the transaction was never canceled. Jessie spent his time placing the miscommunication errors on me. I showed him the calls that i received from his establishment made by Matt, so maybe he accidentally dialed the wrong number when he called. He rolled his eyes. He told me they did not have my custom cake, but i can get a regular cake.He apologized for the inconvenience, but his actions and behavior did not reflect his words. Jessie was rude. When I told him this by far was the hardest online order I have had to deal with, Jessie elevated his voice and preceeded to tell me I provided all false information online, so that's why I received the service I got. Jessie never could confirm my phone or email, but I can confirm I received 3 calls within the week from Madonna Inn. While there another customer had a similar issue with her cake order and they just gave her a cake but it did not have her personal message on there as well. I received a pink champagne cake but I was no longer excited due to the poor customer service in person and throughout the week. It took 33 min to pick up a pre-ordered cake. I think they should work on their online ordering process to have effective quality customer service

Great lunch stop on a drive up or down the coast, quirky venue and generous portion sizes. Must try a slice of cake, although prepare for a recovery rest afterwards.

So much food, I was able to make breakfast the day!!!

They are a little pricey, but the portions are huge! They have an extensive menu. I love the black forest cake and pink champagne cake.
