Sweetie's Cafe & Catering

We were pleasantly surprised! We expected it to be a dive, but it was super awesome and delicious! They smoke all their meats in house! Everything was fresh and delicious! We will definitely be back! They were also super accommodating to changing up ingredients. The service was very friendly and attentive!

Our waitress was the sweetest most personable lady. Great recommendations and delicious food.

Sweeties is a wonderful way to reminisce of classic diners. It is quite a cute little place. They could use a bit of seating by the door while waiting for a table. It wasn't a long wait, so not a big deal. Their breakfasts are very well prepared, they came out on time, and were delicious. The staff was kind and attentive. Our waitress (I missed catching her name but she had stunning red hair) was such a sweetheart. Our coffee was constantly refilled and everything was set out nicely. I would definitely return to this restaurant.

Been going to sweeties for years, food is great, service as well until today. Called to order for pick up, arrived was on the phone walked in and was waiting(not in a rush) untill helped like I have before. The manager asked if I had a to go, I said yes (still on the phone, but was paying full attention to her). Gave her the name for the order was then told " she would help me as soon as I get off the phone". I was shocked at what I just heard. I called back to talk to the manager not knowing is was her. I told her I thought it was extremely rude to be told to get off the phone basically, she proceeded to tell me she thought it was rude for me to wait on the phone and not ask for help. Regardless I feel like the manager did not handle a complaint call appropriately what so ever. I forget to mention that she had an attitude when I called to put my order in the 1st place. I'm an average person but what if I was a person of business and on a business phone call would she have told me to get off the phone. Sadly my family and I will no longer be going here.

Most people blow by this place to get past South Market Street but you should stop in next time. Old diner style and excellent food. BBQ meats are legit and very tasty. I haven't used them for catering, however I can imagine it's delicious. The mimosas are a nice touch to the meal and waitresses very friendly and accommodating.

So once upon a time, kind of sort of long ago, we tried out this Diner/Restaurant place just down from where we live. The first thing we noticed? How clean the place was. Floors, seats, decor. Even the window sills were clean. Big plus for us and a good indicator that people care about their establishment. Then we noticed the good service. Then we noticed the good food. Then we noticed the reasonable bill. Then we made Sweeties a regular place to take our family. I love happy endings.

I have been to Sweeties several times, usually for a late breakfast. The place is usually pretty busy with only a couple of servers on duty at time, yet they manage to take care of their customers without much of a delay.

The restaurant itself is set up like most diners, a combination of tables, booths and counter seats. The place is clean but could use an updated decor.

The food is good and although the menu is fairly large it doesn't hold any surprises, just the usual diner fare. I really like the chicken-fried steak and eggs.

Absolutely delicious! Had the eggs Benedict over smoked pork chops, amazing! My wife had the NY steak and eggs with potatoes. The steak was very good for a breakfast steak and the eggs where smothered in cheese😁. Everything on the menu looked so good it was hard make a choice. And seeing what others had and nothing looked bad , matter of a fact it all looked outrageously huge and amazing. Can't wait to go back!
