Looney Bean

Let me start out by saying this review is ONLY for the Mammoth location because the employees at the Bishop location were nothing but amazing.

First visit to Mammoth Looney Bean I walked in and was in line deciding what to order. The barista was talking so poorly out loud about tourists with the two guys in line I decided to leave and spend my tourist money elsewhere.

Decided to give them another try on our recent visit because I love the Pumpkin Chai so much from the Bishop location. Ran into the store at 4:57pm and got in line relieved I made it before closing time at 5:00pm. Surprisingly, two guys are in line. Barista yells to me and says they are closed. So I walked out embarrassed and knowing I will never get coffee at location again.

I was in Mammoth for 5 nights stay, motorcycle trip from WA State. I had coffee here every morning. The guy and gals here were friendly and made a very nice Vanilla Latte for me each morning and apple turnover. I love supporting a private coffee shop compared to the nasty green corporate place...

Good coffee, good environment, some pastries looked old and not fresh at all. Service not that nice, we were three hispanics customers and felt some kind of attitude when they heard our accent. Not good !!! We spent money on your business and deserve better. Will not go back there never. Juan.

Fantastic coffee shop! Delicious drinks with great people. We were stopping through from Nebraska and they helped us figure out the best hikes!

I absolutely love Looney Bean and I wish I had one back home. Their food is good (they have breakfast burritos and pastries in the morning), their coffee is great, and the specialty drinks are also amazing. I recommend the iced mocha! One of the best if not the best coffee places in town.

Average cup of traditional macchiato.... a little bitter n the temperature is a little too hot

This place is FANTASTIC! We had three different drinks and each was delicious Ad perfectly made! The barista who made our coffee was very nice and the atmosphere made me want to sit in there for hours, in front of the fire with a book!

This local favorite is still one of the coolest coffee shops I have ever been in. The baristas are always fantastic and fit the shops chilled out environment perfectly. They have a ton of options to choose from and a good amount of comfy seating to relax in and enjoy the free wifi. Oh yeah, and the coffee is awesome!

One of the best lattes I’ve had in years. The staff was fantastic and the coffee was incredible. I will come back next trip to the mountain!
