Small and cozy coffee shop providing a comfortable place to work or just hang out and foremost fair-trade coffee. They have an interesting coffee selection. I had the Iced honey vanilla latte that is worth a try. It tastes smooth and not too sweet. They have the same as a hot latte which my
friend got. They have vegan donuts and otherwise a good selection of pastries. I liked the chocolate chip muffin, simple and fresh taste!

Looking for a cup of ice with a splash of coffee at $8.00? Then this is the place. They have the worst customer service I’ve experienced ordering coffee. I told the barista I wanted my coffee with lite ice and I got the complete opposite. The coffee is not worth the price. I should have just gone to a chain coffee cafe but I wanted to try something local. It ended up completely disappointing me. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This review is for the drink only, which I got to-go. I had never gotten a charcoal coffee before and I shouldn't have tried one that day. I went off of the baristas recommendation (he was super friendly, by the way) but unfortunately, this drink was just not good and definitely not worth the price. I for sure will not be trying a charcoal drink from anywhere else ever again. The atmosphere of the place seemed nice, but can't comment on that much since I didn't stay.

When is the last time you sat down to enjoy a cup of coffee? Now's your time! Recreation Coffee will remind you how a good cup of Joe is to be savored. The ambience is effortlessly contemporary but still has the cozy coffee shop feel. The baristas are extremely knowledgful in their craft and super friendly. None of that "What do you want to drink?" accompanied by a blank stare. Their glass beakers and slowly brewed coffee technique all create an exceptional cup of coffee.

During the visit, ordered the bacon and egg brioche bun sandwich accompanied by their hazelnut latte. I love that they don't skimp out on their bacon and the siracha ketchup adds to the flavor of the sandwich. The latte was perfectly crafted without the overly syrupy/sugary hazelnut addition like other coffee shops. If you're searching for a good old-fashioned black coffee minus the sugar+milk, their expressos are simply lovely! I can't wait to return to this coffee shop to try their highly regarded expresso shake (expresso with ice cream) and donuts.

Small little coffee shop on Long Beach boulevard coffee was good and their breakfast sandwiches were amazing. Limited seating but the ambience was cool.

I like this place. Been here many times in the morning for a quick coffee date with my husband. There's always people working and since they're testing the fire alarm at my building and I had phone calls to make, I came right over but holy cow! Why is the music SO loud!?! It's a coffee shop not a night club! Might as well have stayed in the fire alarm situation. Wasted $6 on a chai latte that I never touched because I had to go find somewhere actually quiet. No one could hear me on the phone and you could feel the music shaking the chairs.

Tried Guatemalan coffee with vegan donuts after lunch. Their coffee menu was interesting as each slow drip coffee comes with at least two different flavors, such as blue berries, honey, and so on. Coffee was solid but I couldn't tell a difference from traditional coffee. The pink vegan donut was surprisingly tasty and lighter than normal donuts. I wish the place had more small tables as many individual customers were taking the whole table.

Great latte with oat milk. I tried the Kouign Amann but it's way too sticky and sweet - nothing like your authentic flaky ones! Also, there are flies in the pastry box... It's kind of disgusting...

There are a lot of outlets and fast WiFi for work, but the music is way too loud. Definitely bring your headphones here.

All of the employees were so friendly! They greeted everyone with a warm welcome with a smile! The coffee was amazing. I ordered the seasonal gingerbread latte. It comes with the little cookie, so cute! Recreational is the perfect coffee shop to study at.

Vibe/ambiance is amazing. Baristas are cute,stylish, and friendly. Latte was superb, Maple pecan scone perfect just enough sweetness, and the sausage and egg muffin with the course dijon was just heaven. Loved my 1st experience, thank you!
