My wife and I used to come here all the time, bit now get some of their delicious coffee online! Very friendly atmosphere, everyone remembers you by your first name.
Very dog-friendly although my dog has eaten all the treats on a few occasions and I'm sorry about that.

Great coffee … they really take their time with espresso drinks. Don’t try to rush your day and you’ll be rewarded by the quality of their drinks. 😋

Nice little coffee shop in downtown long Beach. Exposed brick walls and generally minimalist interior. The cold brew I ordered was perfect Will return for a cappuccino!

My favorite coffee spot in Long Beach! Super chill. I'm a crew member on board one of the ships that docks here twice a week and I make sure I visit this place every Port day. Friendly staff and amazing coffee/food!

If you want great coffee, stop by Recreational Coffee, this place is amazing. It's got a great interior vibe, rustic and exposed brick and steel. The coffee options are interesting and unique compared to your average coffee shop. The staff have always been helpful and are knowledgeable of the available coffee roasts and brewing methods. It's always a treat stopping and enjoying their latest brew. Highly recommend this place for any coffee lover.

The coffee here is so wonderful. The folks that helped us the 1st time we came yesterday we're amazing our 2nd visit today was a little less delightful but the coffee was still amazing.

Had a great experience here. Im always nervous of trying new shops because of how picky I am with my coffee, but I tried the Honey Vanilla Iced latte, and she even fixed it up so I like it more. Very good environment to be around as well

Strike out on several levels. First positives. The lemon poppy donut was delicious. Ambiance is cute. Dog bowl and treats, cute. Now for the rest of it. My man had the black iced coffee, it was bitter with a tart aftertaste. I had an iced coffee infused with grapefruit juice and basil, it was a tiny drink that was mostly ice. You can definitely taste the grapefruit and basil, I didn't dislike it but after two sips, it was gone. We also ordered an avocado toast and added bacon to it. It took 10 minutes to get, when they served it, it had no bacon. It took an additional 13 minutes to get bacon put on it. We were thinking they were loading it up with bacon since it was taking so long. It was ONE piece of bacon, cut into 6 squares, split between the two pieces of toast. Overall, it was an average avocado toast. They gave us a coupon for a free drink when they brought the toast out. We left it at the table.

So correct! They have a genuine recreational java. I particularly love their Honey Vanilla latte and mocha. This type of soft flavor. After drinking their coffee my disposition constantly changes for the better.

Great atmosphere, great music, and a proper appreciation for delectable coffee. A bit pricey for the average college budget, but the value spent is tasted in the quality of their coffee and their appreciation for it. Went to buy a coffee, and because it wasn't freshly made it was given to me for free! Thanks sweet recreational coffee working lady.
