Simple yet fantastic food menu. My new favorite spot for a quick bite in the morning! Everyone is super friendly and eager to answer any questions you may have. 🤙🏼

I went once a while back and it was good but today My bf went in for me & this place is great we are currently drinking the espresso shake and we already ate all our pastries which was about 4/5 of them. Will always be back. I do reccomend and i Will Go back to try different items they have.
P.s parking is and can be difficult to Find Especially near your location. I did attempt to Go 3 Times but left because of no parking finally today was the day even though my bf drove around 3times for parking finally managed to Find parking because i really wanted an espresso shake Thank you your drink is good

Incredible coffee in a beautiful modern ambiance, with plenty of seating and natural light. Conveniently located in Downtown Long Beach, steps from the blue line metro. Recreational's menu is simple yet interesting, and prices are reasonable. They also have a great selection of locally made vegan donuts, which are some of the best cake donuts I have ever tasted.

Five stars, not because it's amazing, but because:
1. It's the only good coffee I had till now in Long Beach, LA.
2. The stuff is friendly
3. It's a nice place to sit down peacefully and work on my laptop after a long day of conference talks

My wife is out here for work so I tagged along to have a little vacation sans kids. She's vegan and we live in the Midwest where vegan dining options are few and far between. I on the other hand I am a meat and potatoes guy so I never have a problem finding good food.

I love that out here, she has so many dining options. And they are tasty and original vegan options. I've even chosen some as my meals over meat. Crazy!

We found Recreational Coffee for breakfast, this morning. We ate vegan donuts, and an amazing avocado mash (minus the pesto) w/ sprouts on toast (I of course added bacon to mine 😉). My coffee and her vegan Matcha Latte were wonderful, too. 😋

Great coffee shop. I don't drink coffee but their tea selection is also good, brewed well and served in cool glassware. The breakfast sandwiches are solid as well.

Clean place with hipster vibes. Service was great and friendly. Unfortunately, the espresso was weak with little flavor. Only two options for milk in a latte and one option for flavoring. My husband and I both felt like we purchased warmed milk for $9.88. After a few sips each, we had to throw out our drinks.

Service was exceptional. Vibe was right. Chai tea latte had lumps (idk of what but it was weird lol)

Didn't have all the menu items and the tea was so bitter nothing could make it taste good. I threw it in the trash. Don't waste your time on this place.

Avocado toast and tea were on point, wifi is strong, staff is friendly, music is good, outlets are accessible, tables are big. Seats could be more comfortable but an otherwise amazing experience working here for five hours today, would absolutely go back!
