Sweet Surrender

I have been coming to this bakery for a very long time. I live in Visalia and have driven there many times for birthday cakes and gifts. I went last week to order my wedding cake. I called ahead to see about setting up an appt and was told they don’t do appointments to just come in. So we did.
I wanted my fiancé to experience it but it wasn’t a good experience. They just wanted to take the order, gave no help and didn’t offer to taste anything. We purchased some cupcakes for my fiancé to try but they made us go outside to taste it (because of covid???)
We came back in with some questions but they were too busy to help us. We ended up leaving and didn’t order our cake. I have spent thousands in this store over the years, send people there, buy clothes and gifts and sadly something has changed there.
The cupcakes were good that we tasted. I’m never disappointed with the quality but the service kept us from ordering.

I just went to Sweet Surrender today and i had a couple of cupcake and all were very good. The cupcakes were very soft and the frosting was so Delicious. I was craving something sweet and the cupcakes where just perfect. The customer services was good, as soon as i walked in the door with my 3 boys a lady came up to us and gave them some candy. She was very nice. I will definitely go back again.

Friendly staff. Patient with me while I take my time deciding what to order. Knew the prices by memory. Safe oriented. Its my birthday and they made me feel welcome. I always come here to treat myself every year because of how good they are to me.

Simply the best! I have tried a ton of bakeries and some will be good at cookies, others at cupcakes/cakes but this bakery is good at everything. I love everything they make from cookies to coffee to lemon bars 😋

They have an amazing sweet shop, but have also added a gift section with clothing, wine glasses, adorable baby items and so much more. Favorite cupcake flavors: Pink Champagne, oreo, Mattahorn, and lemon (lemon something... can't remember exactly).

Came here for the first time today. I needed to order a came for my mother's day on Monday. I heard good reviews about this place , and wanted to see for myself.

This place is awesome! More than just a bakery really. It also sells candles, cards, stuffed animals, and more. Its pretty much a one stop shop for anything celebration or get well kinda stuff. I did however, purchase a "turtle" cupcake. It was awesome! :) Sweet Surrender is like a knock-off version of Sprinkles. I'm sure to return here again! Plus, I have a birthday to pick up on Monday.

I completely surrender my sweet tooth to this place. Their cupcakes are amazing! I can’t choose a favorite because I love them all equally, it just depends on what I’m in the mood for. Although, I do wish they’d offer their chocolate peppermint all year round.

I have been coming here literally for years! Matihorn cake is my favorite and normally i won't even touch chocolate cake. I was living in Arizona but did travel assignments in California and always stopped by there on my way home, its just worth it!!!

My friend liked the coconut cupcake. They only have it on a specific day of the week. I went there to get that cupcake on the proper day which was also Valentine's day. I waited in a huge line and when I finally got some service they said they didn't make that one because it is valentines day. It was the correct day of the week but they didn't make the cupcake. They could have put a note on the door or something. After that I will not go back to this store.
