Richards' Goat Tavern & Tea Room

A very fun bar with a very neat vibe in little ol' Arcata. I like this bar mostly because it is a welcome change of pace and vibe to a lot of the other watering holes in the area. The Goat (as it's known) offers a more boho-artsy vibe than the other bars along the plaza, complete with a mini movie theatre (the Miniplex)! Cool interior, open space, a little out of the way by comparison, this is worth checking out.

The beer list is pretty good, and they do a great job with drink specials and interesting concoctions. Also, they have food available! It's not a full kitchen, but they offer interesting treats like blue cheese mac and cheese, and Guinness shepherd's pie.

Good place to go for a classier drink. Karaoke among other fun activities. Also, they have snacks and lighter meals available (Sheppard's pie, etc.).

SUCH good food, cocktails, movies, music, karaoke, atmosphere, EVERYTHING. It's always a fun night at the Goat, the best bar around.

Cozy, hip and inviting. Not like I have trouble seeing over my own pelvis, but fun infusions, cocktails, and offbeat tap beer selection. They have a wide variety of teas as well, if that's your thing.

Super excellent place for live music fun nights good time all around. Outstanding place to meet lovely ladies! also the have taco Tuesday woth lots of specialties !

A "straw-less" bar with no paper or plastic cups? How is that? Bars that don't provide straws always have another option because you cannot force folks to trust and put their mouths on glasses. Every bartender does not clean the same and may not be as thorough of a cleaner as they should. Remember germaphobia does exist and is much more common than people think. You either provide straws or give folks other cup options so they dont risk having to wake up with a swollen lips due to lack of proper cleaning. I have been a bartender for more than 6 years and have never experienced being forced to drink out of a glass with no straw, and without any other options. I understand going green but this is being cheap and calling it going green.... Strange. Will just start bringing straws and passing them around lol.

It was great had an awesome time... A lot great singing there! And the non-alchoholic drinks were great as well as the macaroni and cheese!!! This place is first - rate I highly recommend it!!!

The drinks are great. My favorite is Pan's Labyrinth with Jalapeño Tequila. Cumbia Nights is the night for me. No better work out than dancing all night to Celia Cruz, Selena or Celcio Piña.

This always a great spot to stop for drinks, tapas, and a well curated selection of films in the Miniplex. It's a stylish and relaxed atmosphere, with a friendly and professional staff.

This place gets some VERY cool national acts to play a very small room, for very reasonable prices. The food and bev selection is limited, but the place is cozy, which means it can get a bit packed for some events.
