This review is long overdue! My bf and I had spent the night in Arcata and decided to grab some breakfast before we left. Wow what a great decision that was. To begin, we walked in and not two mins later there was a line out the door-we missed the crowd. We chatted with the very nice people in line and looked at all the wonderful breads. As we were paying for our bagel sandwiches one of the staff members gives us the loaf of bread we were admiring! Already enjoying the atmosphere that seemed palpably aligned, we ate our food. The bread melted in our mouths, the bagels were delicious and crafted with good ingredients and their chai was the best I’ve ever had. We love this place and think about it often. Can’t wait to go back. Thanks Los Bagels for a wonderful memory.

Best bagel I've ever had! Clean, cute shop. Friendly staff. Great gift shop! One of the best places I visited in California.

Charming spot with a beautiful origin story. This place was on top of my list for my two day visit. Vegan/vegetarian friendly with great coffee, sweets, and canned drinks. Kicking myself for not buying some merch.

I’ve appreciated Los Bagels in the past but overtime there prices have just gotten so high to the point that it’s hard to continue to support them. They have long been in the community and it feels sad to see them become less and less accessible to the wider population of their community. Even as a struggling college student their location on campus is something that js often too expensive for many low income students. For two people, two bagels costs 28 dollars and after tip that’s over 30 dollars for two bagels you could have easily made at home. To add bacon it’s 7 dollars and any other spread besides cream cheese is also 7 dollars or more. Overall, i am sad to have come to the conclusion that though it is a cute community space it is just too overpriced for me to enjoy anymore.

This place came highly recommended from two folks familiar with the area including a local. I'm always in search of decent bagels outside of New York. I had the Grandpa Goren which has lox, cream cheese, red onions and capers. I was only going to eat half but ended up eating the whole thing. I couldn't even wait to take a picture before taking a bite.
It's hard to say how it compares to New York bagels since that test, at least for me, works on untoasted with just cream cheese to see if it's crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. My husband, whose test involves a toasted bagel with cream cheese, insists that it is pretty good.
The line got pretty long after we arrived but try seem to move quickly. Lots of seating outside in picnic benches.
Restroom is pretty clean too.

If you are looking for a quick place to have a delicious breakfast, lunch or snack - look no further. This. Is. It.
Excellent bagel shop, a must go every time I come visit. The bagels are delicious and fresh. So many unique things about this place - I love that they make ‘slugs’ which are long bagels instead of circular, the home made everything bagel seasoning that they refer to as ‘slug slime’ is spectacular, and the fact that you can get larrupin (local dill mustard that is amazing). They have an awesome menu with lots of different options but you can also make your own.
If you are new to the area or just visiting , make sure to take a jar of larrupin sauce home and a bottle of their slug slime! It is 100% worth it. They always have a great selection of their merch and local items to take home - although it might seem slightly pricey these are all excellent quality and worth every penny.
The staff was friendly and service was fast. Additionally, they have GREAT Covid precautions. Everyone I saw was masked, no indoor eating and the tables outside were well spaced out. I felt completely safe and comfortable.

Hands down the best bagelry I’ve ever been too! If you’re in town or passing by this is a must. Great bagels made fresh and with super fresh ingredients.
My favorite is the Slug bagel with their famous slug slime everything topping. You can also buy their topping bottled to take home.
This visit I had the slug with cream cheese, lox, capers, and red onion. It was soooo good! ❤️

Stopped here on our way up the coast and omg. The Thai bagel (peanut butter, cucumbers, carrots, scallions, sesame seeds, jalapeño jelly) is amazing and unlike anything I’ve ever had before - perfectly crunchy, spicy, and has a hint of sweetness with the jalapeño jelly. My husband got the lox and said that was amazing, too! We also got coffee (delish) and some cookies (the lime corn and snickerdoodle are seriously delicious). Will definitely be back!!

Gem worth checking out if you’re in the area - I got the Cucubin pictured below, the slug (long everything bagel) w cucumber, cream cheese, larrupin (mustard-y sauce) and slug sauce (everything seasoning) It was so good, layered really well so you get all the flavors in each bite.
Pastry was great as well, and the wonderful girl on counter was a help in answering all my questions and making reccomendations. I would for sure come back here if I was in Arcata or Eureka area again.

While on a road trip through the area we decided to stop here for breakfast. The vibe/energy was great and the food was even better. The service was quick and the employees were happy to answer all of our questions since the menu is pretty extensive with sooo many options. Delicious coffee, amazing bagels, great service. 100% 5/5 stars. Don't miss this place.
