The service was top notch and my breakfast choice had me craving each bite. I had the Mer-Babe. It was not the typical egg and sausage burrito and I should not classify it as one.

I was impressed that my server knew the exact tea latte I wanted before I finish my request. I sometimes have problems getting a good London Fog at the national big green coffee shop.

The cafe exceeded my expectations. I am floored that they are able to set such a high standard when restaurants in Seward appear to be struggling to stay open.

Nice place and nice decoration! The coffee is very good, right temperatura steamed milk, which is not all the cafes that can do that. Upstairs there is a bar/restaurant.

Had lunch there today. First visit. Best Alaskan Chowder I've ever had in 35 years. Also had Poke' and tiramisu that were superb. Great, friendly staff and a cool interior vibe and layout.

I visited with a few friends and their two dogs, and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. I love the atmosphere, and the food is top notch! Highly recommend the fish tacos or chicken shawarma! I really can't say enough great things about this place.

This place is just as magical as it sounds the employees are wonderful and polite. You can find all kinds of nicknacks and jewelry in the shop up front. And the coffee is great.

I was really unimpressed with the service here. The servers were mean & unprofessional. The staff seemed miserable and didn't treat the customers very well. It's a bummer BC we wanted to enjoy our dining experience. It seemed that the entire restaurant was in chaos with the staff having very little direction. The food was mediocre & overpriced. I really think the people are what make or break the experience & unfortunately, the people here "broke" my experience.

Great food and cafe (impressive tea collection)! We went back many times.

Okay fish tacos-decent, Bloody Mary- bloody awesome, & beef bulgogi bowl- hit all the flavors and was a fantastic meal. Cool vibes, cute shop and kind people. Mountain & marina views. What more could you want?

All the food except the soup was great.

(asparagus cream soup was sad)

The 3 stars is in comparison to similar restrantrants at this price point.

For example yesterday in Anchorage I had dinner at Simon & Seafort's on the Bay. For almost the same price we received side dishes, appetizers, bread and better service (youngest son had coffee spilled down his jacket and pants by Mermaid staff member).

Seward seams to be struggling like many places with a lack of help so I cannot take the under staffing as a negative. It just is and I understand that.

I can also understand the price point, yet at the price point they are asking they definitely run on the shorter end of what you get even in this time period.

I have been to a dozen different states this year, from Chicago to Vail Ski resort. I can only go off my experience. I like this place but not in love yet.
