Mermaid Grotto Cafe and Boutique

At the seating area upstairs, the food and service was great! The theme and atmosphere was really cool and the store was pretty cute. The coffee bar downstairs was a little slow but overall, excellent!

Everyone raves about the avocado toast but it was too mushy and have no flavor. The soup was cold. The crab dip was mostly cream cheese and not much crab. The server barely check on us and never brought us a refill of water. Had to flag her down to get the check.

The theming is very good but the food was sadly disappointing

Quirky little place with a quirky little vibe that has a small, concentrated and quirky menu. I made a HUGE error in my order based on my ignorance so I can’t fault them for my mistakes. My partner in crime loved her meal. Overall I would revisit to resample the menu and put on my list of recommendations.

Liked the ambience of this quaint cafe in Seward. Had a couple of vegetarian options.

Nice decoration. We ordered:
Shawarma, it was good;
The special of the day: spaghetti with parmesan, it had a lot of sauce and sugar, expensive but not good for the price.
The chocolate cake was very good

The food and service was great. Seems like once we placed our order before we even sat down our food was already ready. Everything is fresh there. Gave it 4 stars because everything is wildly over priced. $22 for a fish sandwich?? Eek.

Awesome place for music, drinks, and supposedly food (we didn't sample). Loved the staff and owner, they made it fun and inviting.

Great fish tacos, and cool kraken bar. It was impossible to find a place to eat in Seward, I'm glad we found this place. It was worth it. Looked like there was alot else going on with a store and coffee shop. I wish I could have spend more time checking it out

I have been there a few times for dine in and te upstairs. Everything was amazing. I went today to place a take out order and was not treated very friendly at all. I don’t want to make one bad experience change my opinion but this particular lady was quite rude. I will most likely not do any more take out from there and just stuck to eating upstairs where they are friendly.
