This spot is the perfect place to end a tour at. Got off a 4 hour boat tour and we were looking to find some good food. This place that also has the Kraken Lounge was perfect for the six of us. A mermaid themed shop, coffee shop, and fine dining establishment upstairs make up this building. Six of us ate and closed down the establishment. The food was spot on and our server from Texas was a delight. Some reviews mentioned slow service, we did not find that, however you’re on vacation who wants a dine and dash experience?

Highlights of the dinner are the halibut, and salads as well.

It’s a very nice nice decor cafe and restaurant. Lots of octopus and mermaids decors. Amazing views from upstairs. We ordered Musubi and lemon chicken rice soup. Great service and food. There is a cute gift shop downstairs that must stop by.

Stopped by for a quick breakfast while waiting for a party coming in on the morning train from Anchorage. It's literally right next door to the train station, so was very convenient. When you walk inside, there's café seating downstairs where you order your drinks at the register and grab a table. There's also full-service dining upstairs if you're ordering a meal.

I had a few hours, so went upstairs for full service. On the way up, look at the drink menu downstairs as those will be your options. Ordered the Alaska Smoked Toast and Mer-Babe for breakfast, then actually came back for lunch after the train arrived. Lunch menu had few different items, so ordered the Moose Bomb Musabi and Halibut Sandwich. The breakfast items were good, I liked how light the Alaska Smoked Toast was. I really enjoyed the lunch menu items, especially the Moose Bomb Musabi. It was a nice twist on a classic Spam Musubi. The Halibut sandwich was also very good as it was a very thick cut of fish topped with an Aioli sauce in between a Brioche Bun.

Overall, service was prompt and friendly. Both breakfast and lunch items were good with a slight preference for the lunch. Conveniently located as soon as you drive into Seward or right next to the train station.

What a tremendous cafe! We had a blast with our family of four, great atmosphere, wonderful people. The food was delicious and the owner very nicely recommended some fantasy novels after seeing my daughter reading her dragon book. Salt of the earth folks here. Come enjoy.

We tried a couple of the toast bites (meat eater and smoked), as well as the musubi starter. It was all pretty good, but nothing extraordinary. I recommend trying their cocktails, which were my favorite part. I liked the atmosphere a lot, but I think they're still figuring out service, since they are new-ish.

The atmosphere was cute people were friendly. But food options were limited and cafe was slow. The food was delicious though I’d recommend the miso black cod although I’ve seen the same thing at Costco in a box. The coffee and Italian soda we’re amazing

Fantastic place to catch a quick bite to eat. The jambalaya was tasty, cocktails were good, and the halibut sandwich was excellent!!!

Love this place! Super cute and unique. Love how it is decorated, food is yummy, view of the boat harbor, and the gift shop downstairs is a fun.

We stopped by here before taking a sightseeing cruise. The atmosphere and food were amazing. The view from the upstairs window incredible and almost worth going for that alone. Friendly staff and comfortable environment.

Great atmosphere and the food was not bad. Would recommend the halibut burger and fish tacos. The seafood salad with tuna was a little bit too salty.
