I went here on a trip with my mom in 2018. I remember they had a really great London Fog. Don't remember much else.

Pretty good. No idea how I missed it.

Stellar place!! All around stellar. This modern cafe by day and craft food restaurant/beer wine bar by night is a must in Juneau. The food is fresh and as local as one can get in Juneau. The coffee and beer are both top notch selections. Friendly ambience and staff. Great for a bite, meal, or an espresso.

Delicious food with gluten free options available. Their spicy chai is also phenomenal 😍

The Rookery cooks some really nice food mostly. Some of the food items I personally don't care for. The atmosphere is like a large cavern, lacking comfort, quite echoing.

One orders and pays at the counter, take a number and a seat at an available table and wait for your food order to arrive. Their are dessert items available behind the glass counter.

I didn't like it but my sister loved hers. White mocha was really bitter tasting.

tl;dr: worth a little patience.
Whether busy or calm, the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was always better than acceptable, though I would suggest showing a little mercy towards the kitchen staff when the place is slammed and avoid ordering any of the dishes featuring a soft-boiled/poached egg..., there's a good chance they will be overdone. You can NEVER go wrong with the coffee AND the marshmellow-choc-chip cookie thing for while you're waiting for bfast.
The large painting under the kitchen window is freakn' incredible..., esp the eyes of the figures on the right.
Oh yeah..., while this is probably obvious, and if you have the opportunity, try timing your visit opposite the wave of tourists coming off the cruise ships.

I ate here at least once a day while there on a 4 day trip. I Tried the apple spinach salad and it was great, had a cookie, mac and cheese, a sandwich, breakfast burrito and of course coffee. I tried a few other restaurants and to be honest this and the Taqueria are the only ones I would return to if I am ever back in town.

Great coffee and breakfast with a funky, friendly vibe. Counter service, but food delivered to your table. Crowded and buzzy, mostly locals. They have a nice selection of pastries, along with cooked breakfasts - try the smoked salmon benedict.
