A great place for a late lunch or a quiet dinner, the Rookery is a must-do for Juneau. Typically I'm a burger-eater, and this place doesn't disappoint. The Butcher's Burger is a favorite with bacon, pickles, and onion complimenting a medium-rare patty and mild cheddar cheese. The meat seems hand packed and fresh with a loose inner consistency and crisp caramelized crust lending it to a complex and savory flavor. The tots on the side are nothing special, but are a good compliment to the star of the dish.

Pros
- Coffee is so high quality & well made, sugar is unnecessary
- The pastries will change your life
- The atmosphere is one of the best in Juneau
Cons
-Pricey (but hey it’s Alaska so par for the course!)

Way over priced food was meh. Drip coffee only one refill. Coffee super strong and or old. Hope you like bacon burnt.

Visiting Juneau, walked down from Capital building - found this gem. Probably one of the best cafes I’ve ever been to!

Cute little cafe, my mocha was delicious! I ordered the eggs Benedict, they were good but not the best I’ve ever had. The hollandaise sauce was a little different and it was kinda cold when I got it. Big portions, though.

Very good coffee. Lots of options. Breakfast is made to order. Good spot to meet and mingle with the locals!

Fantastic spot for breakfast. Loved it. Decended on this spot with 16 people and the staff handled it like Champs.

Awful place for breakfast. It’s always too hot in there, it feels like an oven.
Also good luck even knowing when your food is ready too, they yell out your name from all the way in the back and they barely even try to yell it out, so you wont know your food is ready until you get up and check yourself because it feels like it’s taking too long and by that time it’s cold.
Went twice and both times were frustrating. First time I got their Supreme Avocado Toast with poached eggs on top. Despite looking like they dumped the whole spice cabinet on it and it being super messy to eat, it had next to NO FLAVOR. Really really disappointing for the price too.
2nd time I went I kept it simple with a breakfast sandwich and it wasn’t great either. They forgot to add the stuff I asked despite the cashier repeating it back to me. This place really shouldn’t be as popular as it is.

The place has a good selection of items but is usually crowded. Also when I visited it had some kind of bad smell coming from the dishwashing room on the second floor. Bowl name sounds fantastic but certain dishes are not meant to be eaten in a bowl specially when it needs fork and knife 🍴.

Nice variety on the menu but I prefer French toast more golden brown than blackened. Good texture and other flavors. Potato dish was good, perfect poached egg.
