Solid sandwiches for lunch, coffee and pastries good as well.

Such a cute place with delicious food. Had a decent chai tea latte and good coffee. Split a Rose Apple pasty and it was VERYY GOOD. We went there twice and each time everything we ordered was great. Highly recommend.

Nice ambiance and friendly employees. Felt cozy with an amazing painted nature mural that spanned the width of the space. 💙
The bakery items and coffee earned a 5+ rating.

Delicious food, European-style menu with a Southeast Alaska twist; unique dishes, creative cuisine. Small 46 seat restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Very popular with the locals and tourists alike. Especially busy on Fridays and Saturdays. Excellent desserts. Best enjoyed for dinner and lunch. Coffee shop and tapas menu in between hours. Don't miss it!

I arrived shortly after it started getting busy, and the guy in front of me ordered and was promised the next available order. The person taking my order then said he couldn't serve me because they were full. A bunch of people looked like they were finishing, so I said that I'd take the next available table, and he flatly refused and said I couldn't be served. I asked to be treated the same as the previous customer and take the table after him, and was rudely told that if I wanted food, I could take it and go.
I'm just visiting town, but I can't help but think that this was probably related to the fact that I was the only not white person in the establishment

I’m never the individual to post a review. This experience was disappointing. An employee was a bit rude to us, and whenever asking a simple request/ question. You could tell they were very annoyed. I know from experience, this isn’t how to treat costumers. My food comes in a timely manner, it was cold. I was too afraid to ask about it. The meat, eggs, sauce, and potatoes are cold. It made the food subpar. Not a welcoming atmosphere, and wanted to get out ASAP.

The Rookery is practically an extension of my living room. A pleasant, casual, and welcoming atmosphere with professional staff. They always seem to have something for every budget and occasion: whether it is just for a quick coffee and a pastry, or a multi-course meal. And everything on the menu is both consistent and good quality. I have been a patron for years and only ever had a few minor complaints. 9.5/10

Some items on their menu are delicious but I've just as often had dishes that I barely touched because they just weren't good. I really want to like the Rookery food because I love the atmosphere and coffee, but I continue to be disappointed. I can, however, solidly recommend the burger, eggs benedict and pastries.

We had a delicious hamburger at The Rookery today. It's called the Butcher's Burger (meat ground fresh daily and home baked bread) and we selected the salad as our side. The lettuce is home grown! I also had a cup of their delicious Stumptown coffee. We definitely recommend this place!

Yum Avo toast with a twist. Vegan options. Chill vibe. Good music. Definitely recommend.
Update: Back to Juneau for the second time this summer. Still delicious, chill & unique.
