The Kobuk

Love their tasty soups and homemade donuts. The lil cafe is at the far back of the store! I think this is one of the best gift shops for Alaskan memorabilia that there is!

I live here in town, so whenever I visit downtown, I stop there!
Walking through the areas small but fancy establishment, and of course, having some coffee or tea. I so, love the atmosphere!
Excellent and friendly service too.

I was told that Kobuk Coffee has the best donuts in town, and boy was I misdirected. These aren't the best donuts in town, these are life changing, your first bite is a milestone event. It's like someone took the feeling of pure love and happiness and somehow Houdini'd it into food form, fried it and dipped it in frosting and called it an old-fashioned donut. Maybe it's been handmade by angels, perhaps kissed by the Lord himself. Whatever they're are doing here, it seems nothing short of magic because I am completely under their spell. Proceed with caution, this place can ruin your standards on your donut quality scale.

Always like stopping here for gifts, snacks and smoothies. There’s always something interesting inside this place.

These folks were great! Super friendly and helpful to me and my daughter. Stopped in because they were near to our hotel on vacation and want to come back every time. Good mochas and excellent donuts!

Watch out for this tourist trap. Staff isn’t friendly. I wanted a handmade coffee mug so I bought one that looked decent and when I got home I discovered that they placed all their kobuk stickers over the made in China sticker. And the cup turned out to be pretty cheaply made. Go figure.

Lots to look at, definitely a place to get some tea and gifts for friends. Friendly staff.

The BEST old fashioned donut I've had in my life- only $1.25 & pure goodness! Also Chai tea latte was the best I've ever had!! I'm still remembering the taste & loving it!!

Best chai I’ve ever had. Espresso, fireweed donut, and cinnamon roll were also great.
